"Had 3 lovely days at Brooksyde. A very comfortable house, a home form home seaside retreat. A great base to visit Lyme Regis, Sidmouth etc. Beer is a really lovely little village with a few independent shops and restaurants. The voucher for the next door shop was a nice surprise. "the property is as the Vrbo description The beds were so comfortable. just to make people aware the property is not fully enclosed as if you have inquisitive dogs as mine are they can get into the wood at the side of the garden over a muddy stream then onto a road and leading to fields with livestock in. "The owners were friendly, and attentive, but the property I felt was too expensive for what it was, there was no shower gel or anything in the bathrooms. There wasn’t a bin bin bag to collect rubbish. "We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully restored cottage in Lyme Regis. It was tiny with many stairs but very comfortable. We enjoyed a few afternoons in the beach hut which was very well equipped. The bunk beds are quite small- we have a 6.1ft teenage son! There are also no basic provisions in the cottage- no tea, coffee, sugar, oil, etc which was a shame. "A beautiful barn conversation that is always extremely clean and welcoming. The location is peaceful and relaxing but several beautiful beach resorts are just a short drive away. The nearest town, Bridport has a variety of shops and places to eat or have coffee. We take our dogs along and they thoroughly enjoy the run of the fields and visiting the ponds. A great place to relax and reset. Cant wait to come back. It’s our slice of heaven on earth!"
