This was so much nicer than we were expecting. Spotlessly clean, plenty of room, new appliances, quiet neighborhood with deer everywhere. Good stargazing (Milky Way is easily visible) with a large front porch to relax on. The beds were comfortable with nice linen. Very, very pleased with our stay.

The house was very accommodating. My family and I enjoyed it very much.
Our state was very pleasant. House had many great amenities to offer. The one thing I might be able to add is kitchen could use more cooking utensils.

Girls photography trip!
We had a blast on this trip! The cabin was beautiful and had all we needed. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well appointed the lake was across the street, but had east access and a lovely dock. This was 2 miles from the Boat ride and 4 miles from the Canyon of the Eagles resort where we enjoyed hiking, dinner, and a breakfast buffet. We had a blast!

Only negative was beyond anyone’s control. Drought in the region has caused the grass to die and yard was overwhelmed with stickers/briars. Would help to connect front steps to driveway with gravel so don’t have to walk in the “grass.” Inside area rugs had stickers imbedded so was stimulating to walk barefoot in some spots. But the cabin was in every other way perfect for my needs, and I would go back without hesitation.

Cottage near Canyon of the Eagles
The cottage was cozy, quiet, and near lots of hiking trails. Both beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and it was very clean. We sat on the porch and enjoyed the cool evening breeze. It’s only a few miles to Canyon of the Eagles and hiking trails. Lots of deer in the area too. You can see a bit of Lake Buchanan from the porch, but the lake was very low due to drought. Overall a nice getaway.

Thanksgiving get away
Our last year with kiddos at home (the baby graduates in May and has committed to the Marines). We decided to start a Thanksgiving travel tradition. The cabin was cozy and stocked with all the necessities. It was clean, easy to access and the check-out procedure didn't leave our heads spinning 😊. We spent some time at the local shops, hiked the Gorman Falls trail in Colorado Bend State Park. We would be happy to stay again if our travels bring us back to the area.

Great little getaway!!!
Loved the cabin. Only 4 of us, so worked great. About 15 to 20 minutes out if Burnet, but a nice scenic drive. Weather didn't cooperate, but Evelyn, the host, suggested Longhorn Caverns. We would highly recommend! Thanks Evelyn.
