We enjoyed our stay at Backwoods . Close enough to The Ark, The Creation Center, Cincinnati zoo-oldest in US, Indiana Park and dinner. Lots of monopoly and great houses and yard .

Family weekend
We had such an amazing time during our stay. The house was so nice and spacious. The decorations were also so well done. We enjoyed the big circle table in the dining room and the updated kitchen. The kids loved the play equipment in the backyard and we were even able to make s’mores with the fire pit. Such a fun and relaxing stay!

Fabulous property !
Backyard Wanderland was absolutely WONDERFUL ! I wish we could have stayed longer ! The grounds were meticulously landscaped , the beautiful home had everything you could have wanted and more ! The beds were extremely comfortable, and the accommodations could not have been more welcoming . The owners were so friendly and communication was quick and friendly . The location was super close to great restaurants . What a perfect place to stay . We will be coming back !

Perfectly clean and roomy. Best stocked kitchen ever! Yes, they have everything you need. Toaster, blender, mixer, iron, ironing board, lots of pots, pans, casseroles, cookie sheet. Great back yard!

Fabulous home away from home
This is the perfect stay for a larger family or group. The home is pleasant, roomy, with a great outdoor space. If you have children, it's perfect. Everything was just as described and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with dishware and cooking utensils and pans.

Perfect Family Location
If you are traveling with kids this home will suit your needs well. Everything was clean, pristine and in order. We loved the backyard and appreciated the note from a previous guest to bring our own basketballs. Kids appreciated all the backyard activities along with the toys and books in the kids room. A note to future guests - all rooms are upstairs. Did not hinder our stay but know it could be problematic for individuals with mobility issues. We appreciated the ease of access getting to our destinations.

My Old Kentucky VRBO Home
House was perfect for our family gathering ... plenty of space (4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms). Large eat-in kitchen! Large dining room! Large living room with plasma tv mounted above the fireplace! Large front porch! Fun, rustic decorations complimented the furnishings! Location was ideal! Fire pit and grill were bonuses!!

Excellent Place
When we pulled up to the house, we were a little concerned as it is on a busy road and worried about the traffic noise. HOWEVER, this was one of the best places we have stayed at as a family. My kids had a blast in the huge yard with tons of stuff for them to do. The house is amazing and spacious with a great deck to enjoy the outdoors and grilling. The noise was a minimum and we had a great relaxing stay.

Family from three states gathered for some time together and cousin bonding time. The fenced in back yard was wonderful for both parents and Littles. Great set up for an evening campfire and the living was a wonderful gathering spot for a movie on a rainy night. Short drives to the Ark Encounter - Cincinnati Zoo and creation museum, the purpose for our trip. All the comforts of home!

Family trip
We stayed in this home during our visit to the area. The home was very well furnished and decorated. My wife and mother shared how the home reminded them of their grand parents homes when they were growing up. I have some back trouble and the bed is always a concern for me. The bed we slept in was like the one we have at home and I slept extremely well during the whole visit. I would highly recommend this home for a family visit. Also I’d add that the large back yard was definitely a plus.

Breath of fresh air!
The house couldn’t have been better! We are a large family and it’s hard to find something to accommodate that’s perfect. The huge backyard with basketball court and playset was fantastic. Everything was very clean, well-stocked and there wasn’t anything that could have been better. Might bring your own basketball as I’m sure it’s hard for them to keep one in good condition, but just a fantastic place to stay. Close to town for groceries or food and just a short drive to Cincinnati or the Ark Encounter. Thanks for being part of our awesome trip!

Wonderful, turnkey home for family gathering
We rented the home for a family get together for a college graduation. 8 adults spent the weekend with two more adult guests for a daytime visit for a total of 10 people in the home. I was thoroughly impressed with the property! There was plenty of parking for the six vehicles we had and room for even more if we would have needed it. There were enough plates, bowls, silverware and everything needed to have each person use multiple plates without having to wash them. We had City BBQ delivered and Kroger was nearby for grocery items. All 10 of us easily fit around the huge family dinner table, which was actually the reason we booked this property over others. I'd highly recommend this property to anyone that wants to have a family get together. There wasn't a single issue we had with the property and felt lucky to have had such a good experience. 10/10 for sure!

Sweet house w/lots of character
I love older homes! This house is so sweet! Comfy and big kitchen. Filled with character. The outside was great for family meals. My fav part was the upstairs bedrooms. We all slept with our doors open and said goodnight like the Waltons. Sound machines in all the bedrooms so street noise wasn't a problem. Close proximity to the creation museum and not a bad drive to the Ark Experience. Host was quick to respond to a message I sent. Would definitely book again if we return to the area.

House of Peace
This very roomy home was perfect for our family..ages 1-70! Great location for the “Ark Encounter” and the Creation Museum!” Which were wonderful exhibits! The large round dining room table thrilled the little ones so we could all sit together😄 Large kitchen a plus! All the little touches and antiques on the wall and all over the house were fun ! The grands loved the backyard playground with playhouse! The sidewalk track was perfect for walking laps around the fenced in yard! What a nice surprise that was!….fire pit with wood, nice deck …a wonderful time in a House that felt like home! Thanks Josh for getting back to us so quickly when we had a question! Advice for visitors is to stay in the back as the front porch has highway noise. When those trees in front grow taller that will help temper the traffic sounds👍 All in all great memories made🙌 Thank you!

Great Property! ....with two little caveats.
This property was great! Plenty of room for our family......great farmhouse charm. And the kids LOVED the backyard. There's a playhouse, a playground with plenty of equipment, and even a concrete basketball court. The deck was wonderful, and there's even a firepit area, though we didn't use it. There were only two downsides, that you need to be aware of before you stay. 1. The highway beside the house. It's 4 lane, and VERY busy, and VERY loud. Thankfully, in the backyard we didn't notice it that much and the owner has made the backyard feel very secluded. But at night, in the bedrooms on the front of the house, you do hear lots of loud trucks and motorcycles. The owner has thankfully provided white noise machines and earplugs, so I commend them on the effort to offset the noise. 2. The age of the house. Most people will love the fact that it's old, and I think it provides a lot of charm, but just be aware, that there are a few things that go along with an old house. Bathroom doors were very hard to shut and were loud when you opened them. Also the downstairs bathroom was so narrow, that taller people may have issues. These things probably won't bother most people, you just need to know what you are getting. With all that said, for our family the house was great, the kids loved it, and I'd highly recommend.

Wow! Tara and Josh‘s property was fabulous! Everything was totally clean, well stocked, and the accommodations were bright, cheerful, and very spacious. We had plenty of room to stretch out and have family time with all nine of us. On our last day, we had eight cousins come over for a short visit, and they all thoroughly enjoyed the HUGE backyard, especially the basketball court! Josh and Tara were fabulous hosts and were immediately available and SO accommodating with any needs that we had. We would DEFINITELY stay in this home again! It was fabulous!
