"Lovely situation, overlooking the river and with restaurants and shops in the street just behind. Staff were not very friendly - reception was very businesslike and the cleaner complained at 9.10am that we were still in the room and would not be able to come back later to clean the room! Staff at breakfast were very slow to respond to our requests. No parking outside on a busy street, so we had to drop our bags off and look for parking elsewhere, which worked reasonably well. "Wonderful staff and the best breakfast we experienced at this price point in the whole of our Sardinia holiday. On booking in we were upgraded to a suite (probably to accommodate the many motorcycle and pedal cycle group tours that use the property). "It’s a historical building wonderfully refurbished - it really gives palace energy. The rooms are cozy, tidy, the bathroom has all you need, everything is clean. "Everything was awesome however I arrived two hours early and I never got the instructions for self check in. Otherwise it’s a modern, relaxing an upscale hotel well worth every penny. I like how art pieces are in your room as well as in the hallways. If I were a chef I would have taken advantage of the the complete kitchen."

"A modern, thoughtfully designed property on a hilltop overlooking Nuoro. The front desk staff went out of their way to be helpful with a small problem that I had. The rooms were modern and comfortable. One issue that we found everywhere in Sardinia is that the rooms don't have enough electrical outlets, making it a bit of a hassle to charge personal devices. The breakfast was fine in a room with a great view overlooking the town. One plus, during the off-season, is that there are enough travelers for business, so the property offers the full range of services. At other properties in the off-season, the lack of guests can result in limited services. Also, excellent parking. Definitely recommend for car travelers. Because it is located 2 km from the city center, it may be a hassle for persons who don't have a car, although there is good municipal bus service accessible about a five minute walk distant."

"What a fantastic place is Sas Abbilas. A pearl we happened to find for our work in the surrounding. Beautiful nature, the woods and the little river. A fantastic family that takes care of you with tasty (for us vegetarian) food and lots willingness to make your stay a happy one. We will definitely come back!"
