"Good location for Merano 2000 cable car and botanical gardens. It is 3k from Merano centre and while there is a bus taking the car was more convient for us, parking on edge of town. The hotel itself is part of camping hermitage, which seems to be main focus. The hotel could use some re-imagining. For example, removing the net curtains obscuring the great view. "Arrived on arrival day at 7pm. the guy at front desk looked at me as if he has seen a gost!!! he was nervous and unexperienced. Told me we did not have a reservationa. I showed him the booking with Expedia and then he say...well you are lucky we have a room for you. and he left to prepare the room for us..leaving the front desk unatended. Got back and gave us a standard room... I told him we have booked a luxury suite and after a few more minutes he said........ o yes... yes.. and left...

We were promptly robbed and the hotel could have cared less- the owner actually blamed us! We promptly called hotels.com and your rep contacted the owner and he agreed that he was incredibly rude and was going to ask that the hotel be pulled from your listings.s"

"Wenig Gedanken gemacht das keine Saison ist und alle umliegendenden Restaurant und Geschäfte in Dorf Tirol geschlossen sind. Weihnachtsmarkt in Bozen und Meran besucht. Im Hotel wurde kein Nachtessen angeboten. Leider wurde das in keinen Unterlagen erwähnt. Die Hoteleigene Bar war zwar offen bis 21:00 Uhr. Wollte man etwas konsumieren wurden wir durch die Reception aber auch den Chef verwiesen auf die kleine Minibar im Zimmer. Mit dem Gästepass konnten die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel und Museen...

"What an exceptionally outstanding hotel. Everything about it is wonderful. From the setting where apples grow to the views of the mountains. In our three week tour of Europe this is by far the nicest staff. Our room was large with a balcony and sitting area. While there is no restaurant onsite, they do serve breakfast which was delicious. "From checkin to checkout including restauration, the welcome and service were excellent. Finally, staff who smile. Clean and well maintained rooms - we even got upgraded to a loft suite with great views. Anecdote: We decided to stay an extra night but there were no rooms. The manager kindly found us 3 rooms down the road. Gotta stay here!"
