The Nook - Well Located For Exploring The Cotswolds!

The Nook is a 10 minute drive from Burford and is well located to explore the rest of the Cotswolds. The apartment is clean, comfortable, quiet and well equipped. There is a small cafe / bistro located at the entrance to the residential estate where The Nook's located called the "Cotswold Outpost" which serves breakfast and lunches till 4pm everyday except Tuesday's - The full Cotswold breakfast was very good!

The flat was wonderful, nice and clean! It is in the middle of loads of fields which is love but not fat drive from nearest town

Amazing location, even more amazing team

Wonderful location, right next to the A road. The property itself is on the second floor with wonderful views and big windows, the sunlight coming from the ceiling made the place even more amazing. Well equipped and a brilliant little shop added to the experience. The nighbours were very accomodating and helpful. A bottle of milk with biscuits got us our first cuppa immediately. The team was very active and they responded to our queries and actioned on them straight away. Will be coming to this place again and will recommend it to my friends and family.

Lovely apartment Shame about the road noise

Booked this apartment for a stay at a family event. Lovely apartment and plenty of room for the two of us. Unfortunately it’s very close to the main road so there was traffic noise most of the night and the bed was a bit unusual so sleep was a bit hard to find. Fortunately we needed to get up early so the light coming through the window wells in the roof was not a problem. Other than that the apartment is in a good location and is well appointed. Parking is good and access to the property is good. Breakfast at the onsite Resturant was excellent.

3 Day Break

Fabulous apartment, clean and tidy, enough equipped for making breakfast, needed more for cooking tea etc. Maybe a better explanation, of how to enter the building, I.E key fob. Overall would highly recommend The Nook.

Lovely, homely stay in the heart of the Cotswolds!

This is a perfect property for any get away in the Cotswolds! You will need a car to get around as it isn’t in a town, but that allows you to soak up the beautiful views with most major towns being within 15 minutes. The apartment is done to an exceptional standard with lots of storage and home comforts provided to make your stay lovely. We weren’t able to access the guest portal at first to understand the check-in instructions, but management were very proactive and fast in responding which still meant it was a smooth process. Overall a lovely stay and we can’t wait to come back!

Wedding accommodation

Very clean bright and airy. All fitting looked brand new and if a high standard. It was very warm during our stay and a fan would have been nice but not provided. The property is call Riverview and not The Nook so although we identified the correct building it was a bit off putting. I would thoroughly recommend this property though, especially for a wedding at Stone Barn. Thank you for letting us stay.

The Nook

Great location for access to the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire. Be prepared for traffic noise from the A40. There are blackout blinds in the bedroom but no blinds in the living/dining area which means there is no protection from the sun and it gets very warm when the sun shines on the building. For those who self cater and like to cook the kitchen equipment available is very basic. Instructions for accessing the building were a little confusing. There are numbered parking spots but there is no information on where to park if your allocated space is taken up by someone else. We later discovered that there are some visitor parking bays that can be used.

The Nook Weekend Break

The property appears to be quite new so was clean in appearance. We found it strange that it didn’t have a microwave and was also lacking a welcome folder which we have become a custom to when visiting cottages. The lack of the welcome book meant me didn’t know how to use some of the appliances and the heating system and during an electrical power outage, were unable to locate any sort of torch to see our way around the property. The outside is also very poorly lit. Luckily we had a torch in the car to use when transgressing from our vehicle to the property and to use whilst the power was off. .

Great Location, Clean and to High Standard

Overall the apartment was brilliant: - great location - very clean - spacious - finished to a very high standard with well-equipped kitchen & plenty of utensils etc. - shower was super & great to have the option of a bath for our little one. Cons: - Safety for children/babies - when we arrived the lower velux windows in the bedroom were open & thankfully we were able to realise this before our toddler fell out but extremely dangerous! - the bed - it was extremely soft & unsupportive unfortunately. I don’t have that great a back & at one point considered sleeping on the sofa so not great sleep whole stay. - roof windows - the bedroom window velux all have blinds but there’s a room light with no shade on it above the bed. Less of a concern in the winter, but visiting in summer we ended up having to get eye masks to get any sleep! We did have to bring our own cot & high chair which would be one improvement the property might consider for the future but we’d a travel one in our family we were able to bring.
