4/5 Good
So many nice aspects paired with disappointments
"The staff were really nice and helpful for sure.
The place has SO much potential but needs an injection of capital.. so many repairs/upgrades/maintenance needed.
Plusses.. its the first resort from the ferry. You can walk there or a 2 minute drive. We were met and escorted (nice) but they need a much better sign out front (or you'd miss it).
The pool/s are lovely, very clean and well maintained. A big plus.
The rooms are comfortable with nice beds
Breakfast was nice.
Minuses .. the grounds were shabby.. lots of litter along the shoreline (someone could have been given this task), there were empty bottles just tossed out around a tree near the bar (another personnel flaw). The gardens could have been super nice, but weren't maintained.
The other resorts had a gazebo out on a jetty, for sunsets or relaxing.. the one here was unusable due to broken/missing wood and no access possible from the shore (basically abandoned)..
The tv in the rooms didnt work (said subscription wasn't paid).
Minor damage to the cabins (broken windows etc)
No wifi access anywhere on site.
Despite these things, it can still be a good base for a getaway or further exploration.
Not sure if the run down nature is from management or ownership, but as mentioned, it's not in the same league as the more expensive places .. and it could be.
