"A great stop-off on the way to the Garden Route from Cape Town. Simple, clean rooms with all required facilities. One of the best restaurants, (maybe the best) of our trip around South Africa. Be sure to book a table at the restaurant when you book your room as the restaurant gets full. "

"Our luxury room ( with mountain view) was absolutely charming, spacious and super clean. The room was newly renovated, tastefully furnished and thoughtfully outfitted with everything that could be required. The mountain view from the expansive windows and patio door was stunning and the outdoor seating area on the balcony looking at the same view was a definite plus. The only downsides were a slightly firm mattress and a bit of road noise. Otherwise it was a nearly perfect stay."

"We had a very pleasant stay in Swellendam. We were only here for one night and stayed at Aviento. The host ist very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Our room was clean with everything you need while backpacking. 🙂 One recommendation though, we had the budget room and there was no door to the toilet. It would be very nice to just have a sliding door if the space is the problem for not having one. Best, Lark & Olivia"

My phone was having a charging issue and the detailed map that was drawn for me was perfect - it got me right to some wonderful sightseeing in Cape Agulhas and ultimately to Betty’s Bay. "Lovely people and charming place. Could help self to vegetables in the garden or even the eggs from the chickens for breakfast which was a hit with the kids. Only drawback was that it was a bit of a squash, we should have booked a third room. The rooms are called “two bedroom” but they are actually one bedroom suites with a single sofa bed in the living room so not really suitable for three adults. This is in the small print of the room description so our fault for not reading closely but I...
