"My wife and I took a long weekend break and stayed in the Shawood Bottling Room. It was a wonderful stay. Nice high ceilings, good kitchen, parking, etc. Everything we were hoping for. We made our way up the paddock to watch the sunset each night, which was a great suggestion from the host. Not a critique, but I would have loved to have the option to purchase some local wine too. Mind you, we did shop ourselves at the various cellar doors. A great space and location to get away from it all."

"I couldn’t be more thankful for this experience! The house was amazing, everything you would need for a week away. Well landscaped, great pool, stunning views and an overall fun experience! "PROS: Wilpine is set in a great location, good access to the town centre and surrounding vineyards. We spent three nights over a long weekend for a family wedding, and stayed at Wilpine with three family groups. The property is spacious and great for accommodating a large group. It is a well equipped property that has everything you would need for a short stay. CONS: However, the property and surrounding gardens and yard are in need of some maintenance and a facelift. "Wonderful to arrive and find the cottage exactly as pictured online. Having the 3 bathrooms was a big plus for our group of ladies especially when it came time to get ready for Saturday night in town. It was hard to pull ourselves away from the comfy lounges though and the fans and AC ensured we were comfortable whatever the temperature outside. Thank you for a wonderful retreat. The girls are already talking about coming back for a winter stay to make the most of the fire pit."
