A good short stay
Well equipped and close to amenities and metro. Short stay so washing machine, dishwasher, hob, oven , microwave not needed. Some minor repair of damage on walls , crack in widow required. The apartment did suffer from street noise throughout night, otherwise comfortable for sleep. Room access by app on mobile phone somewhat stressful - concern over loss of charge. A socket adaptor for uk plugs on site would have been appreciated.

This was not a good experience for us It was sold a a luxury apartment But it was not very basic with a drab feel Broken furniture and a lift that is used as a communion toilet I would not wish anybody else the same experience There are some lovely hotels in Budapest but this is definitely not one of them

Beautiful Budapest
Convenient location close to subway and airport drop off. Disappointed with the luxury description. Modern but basic. Bathroom was great. But Kitchenette not well equipped and in need of a deep cleanse. Not enough utensils, crockery for 2. Bed was really soft and hard to get in and out of as a result. Lounge /kitchen/ bedroom area needed a refresh / some tlc. City was wonderful and the apartment is in a great location to explore from

There were no toiletries in the bathroom, even shower gel. Since this was an apartment, I expected at least a tea bag or two, but there were 0 supplies in the kitchen. Apartment was nice, but without bare amenities. Area was good, with store and conveniences nearby.

Great location
Great location for exploring city, apartment generous in sizing and a whole family could stay in the room. Inside apartment clean and comfy with large 50" smart TV, albeit we couldnt figure out the volume control! It would have been nice to have a few basics, such as water Tea, coffee, shower gel etc. Common areas of apartment area were quite dirty with litter not collected for a few days, it also seemend that homeless people were sleeping rough in the common areas. Overall good value adn would consider again as the lcoation was perfect.

When I arrived at 8pm, found the key broken and virtual reception said it takes 3 hours to get a replacement. Offered me a replacement which is really hard to get to and the condition of the property is not on the same standard. I refused the offer and asked them to cancel the booking for me, got rejected. Would not recommend.

Beautiful big space and amazing location within walking distance to all the major tourist sites. Super quiet especially considering it’s on a pretty main road. Felt incredibly safe which is especially important to me when travelling as a solo female. My only criticism would be that the place could be a little more polished. All fine at first glance but just little things like one of the drawers wouldn’t stay shut, the remote for the blinds was missing a button (still functional but not as easy to use), the mugs were all chipped and there was only one knife (fine for me but the apartment sleeps up to 4 and I don’t think sharing a single knife would be ideal!). All small, inexpensive and easy fixes though and the only reason I wouldn’t give this place 5/5. Still an excellent experience and would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

The apartments on the same floor was under renovation. And rather they were also arranging a viewing that same weekend. The photo on the Expedia and what we have was different. The layout and the usage was also different. What could use for cooking, cannot. The unit cannot be access, staff delayed our entry. And insisted that we submit our passport details and blah blah. Make the check in unfavourable.

I have worked with hospitality and hotels for the last 30 years and stayed in lots of different places of all types around the world, and I very rarely leave reviews. However, this time it is needed. For the Astoria loft in Budapest I just have to as the way they are caring for their business is really an insult to anyone trying to make a living of a hotel. The lack of care and attention is striking. Here below a few comments which you really should address sometime in the near future should you reconsider and actually care about your business. Who knows, it could possibly increase the rating which would give you a chance to revise the prices too. After all, and in your defense, the prices are low which is a bit strange for such a central location. 1. Firstly, clean it up. The amount of dust, marks on walls, sweat marks on sofa, on pillows, dirty curtains and more is far beyond what normal persons consider dirty. The scuff marks from luggage all over the walls can easily be cleaned, the sofa and bedding can be washed and surfaces can be wiped off. For the mold stains on the ceiling in the bathroom, clean with chlorine and repaint. Same with the grouting, and the shower appliances. And for the dust, a vacuum would be your best course of action here rather than a broom. I had written a really long review but realize it isn't worth it. Without the cleaning, there is really no idea. I have attached some photos to verify.

This is advertised as a four star hotel. Instead, i received a tedious 8 page online form to fill before arrival along with an online credit card relaese form. Pending filling this i received a two page e-mail explaining the very complex way of how to get into the property, as there is no reception in the building. You enter one code at the main gate, climb all the floors through a dark, dodgy stairway with all your luggage, as elevator does not work, find some little box on the wall with the key in it, have to enter another code into this box in the pitch dark. Whole process with local knowlwdge, live internet and telephone connection to consult representative took at least 50-60 minutes. I have no idea how a stranger to town would after a long flight could manage this. Cleaning very superficial, not professional hotel level, bedding OK. Location perfect.

The appartment itself was great, clean, big, big bathroom, however the overall experience was negative, elevator did not work, hallways and common areas extremely dirty and run down, one air conditioning was extremely noisy and the other didn't work, but the worse part is that the administration keeps asking you for information at very late stages, so even when you think you are ready to go into the appartment, checked in online and all, they send you emails 2 days before arrival asking for more info or "they will not send you the entry codes" and of course if you are traveling since days before you will miss the request.

Dear Hotels.com and Loft Astoria Our stay in Budapest was very memorable - what a lovely city. Unfortunately we cannot say the same about our hotel room at Loft Astoria. First, the instructions for entering the appartment was good. We had no issues in this matter. However, entering the appartment left us with a dull sensation. The apartment itself was close to not decorated or feeling homely. The coathanger loose enough to fall down, once put in use. The appartment was unclean at several places, with a lot of dust in higher places. The bathroom door was broken. There were no hangers for towels, and the shower cabin was leaking. In other words, we felt that we had received an appartment, that was not the one we felt excited for. After entering the first time, we went down to do grocery shopping. When we came back, we scanned our keycard on the door - nothing happened. It appears that the lock was now malfunctioning, and we immediately called support. Support was welcoming and told us that she could be there to help - in an hour... So we were left with very few belongings, going to an appointment, not able to access our stuff, and in a foreign city. This was distressful, and a major bump in the road, in an otherwise lovely city. With this, we cannot recommend a stay at Loft Astoria, and are left with a scepticism. When calling a room a Deluxe suite, it is presumed that it lives up the expected hotel standards. Kind regards Camilla and Michael
