"Comfortable room with smart newly refurbished bathroom. Nice bar and breakfast was good. My room was at the front nearest the main rail line, though the sound of passing trains was pretty much constant it wasn't too disturbing. Would certainly stay here again anyway. "

"Our stay was perfect from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. The room was spacious, stylish and spotless. The bathroom was great. The staff who work here are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Everyone has a smile. We had an evening meal and breakfast and both were delicious. "The food in The Lion was first class, and the service from Elisha and Mark. However the room had a few problems 1 the hot water was scolding instantly and no mixer , if any child opens the hot tap they woild have 3rd degree burns. 2 the coffee machine had no water chamber ( missing ) 3 there was no bulb in the table lamp Room was clean just not maintained regular in my opinion , ive been in the trades for 40 years so all the jobs would take an hour After saying that i would still stay...

"Had an excellent stay here, staff very friendly and accomodating, rooms spotless, food excellent for both evening meal and breakfast and very reasonably priced. Only slight negative was the room maybe needs some slight updating, the carpet was coming away from the wall and was fraying and the kettle had to be used on the floor as the flex didnt reach the plug socket. "Lovely stay at the Bell , we stayed on the hotel side not restaurant side . In a floor level room . We were greated by the lovely Katherine i think that was her name , who went through the welcoming chat and safety. Nice to be explained all to make you feel at ease . The room had high ceiling with just the right furniture, for what you needed for a night away & ensuite bathroom with shower & bath . Room was clean and bed comfortable. With tea & coffee facilities. "The rooms are clean and tidy and are cleaned daily. It’s a no frills accommodation small tv and the smell of curry as you walk out in the morning is personally my only real gripes. However the service is excellent and the food is out of this world, with the owner employing a 5star chef from India it’s not a surprise. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants but for reasonably priced food and drink this is definitely one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of eating at! This fact more than made up for...
