Summary:
Enjoy this spacious 3 bed / 2.5 bath Mexican home all to yourself - just 2 blocks from the beach and 1 block from the best eateries and galleries in town! The house sits atop gently terraced levels that provide sunning, barbecuing and gathering areas around the heated cobalt pool. Constructed in the traditional regional style, the house features mature tropical vegetation, elegant dome roofs, ironwork, large arches, exotic woodwork and a palapa, giving it a wonderful character and atmosphere.
The Space:
YOUR SPACE
This is a single-family standalone home built in the regional tropical style is great for a weekend family getaway, a monthly stay, or a place to call home during the winter. The main living area has an open floor plan and large windows that let the breeze sweep up from the many terraced patios when opened. There is a large patio with a fountain off of the dining room. There is a half bath on the first floor, and 3 air-conditioned bedrooms, and 2 full bathrooms on the second floor.
The master bedroom has a king bed, large closets, a sizable balcony overlooking the pool, and an eclectic bathroom with stained glass windows and a cupula. There are two large guest rooms - one with a queen-size bed and the other with 2 individual beds. Each guest room has a private balcony and they share a bathroom.
All spaces are designed to accommodate 6 adults comfortably. The dining tables, patio tables, and living room sofa have 6 places. 6 adults and 2 small children would be maximum amount of guests for the property, and large parties are strictly not allowed.
The kitchen has a 4 burner stovetop, full-size refrigerator, and dishwasher. Adjacent to the kitchen is a washer and dryer.
THE BEACH & BUCERIAS
You’ll never have to fight for a great spot on the beach, and it is only a 2-minute walk away! Show up at any time of the day and you’ll have lots of sandy space to choose from. The surf is gentle enough for swimming, and it is the preferred beach for kitesurfing, paddleboarding, and windsurfing. 🏄🏽♂️ Other great activities include whale watching (Dec - Mar), snorkeling, fishing tours, or even shell collecting.
In town, enjoy a great selection of restaurants ranging from upscale to simple & quaint. Don’t forget to try some of the local dishes such as zarandeado-style fish, ceviches, and aguachile. Stop into the many art galleries, coffee shops, and boutiques - all within walking distance from your place. Thursday evenings are Art Walk Night, a self-guided tour of more than a dozen galleries and art boutiques which serve cocktails and refreshments along Lazaro Cardenas street. The craft market hosts dozens of stalls that sell both traditional Mexican items and souvenirs to take home and remember your vacation by.
THE PROPERTY
Mature vegetation provides plenty of privacy and the sparkling pool gives the feeling of your own little oasis. The house is cared for weekly to provide the best experience and cleanliness, drinking water and anything you need for a great stay is provided.
The house is just two blocks from an ideal wide-open stretch of the beach and one block off the main avenue that has plenty of restaurants and watering holes to choose from. Notable well-known places within a 5-minute walk are La Negra (Dinner & DJ dance club), Delicias Mexicanas (traditional Mexican cuisine), Kensho (Asian fusion), Bici Bucerias (bike tours and rentals), and Barchelata (the local sports bar).
Private parking is available in the covered carport, and a washer and dryer are onsite and available for use. Only the bedrooms have air conditioning, but the breeze nicely flows through the main living area. Drinking water and one cleaning per week is included in the rental rate.
The traditional Mexican kitchen has everything you would need to cook a meal and a grill is available for your use. The washer, dryer, and kitchen appliances are older but fully functional. Due to the unavoidable wear and tear that housewares encounter in the tropics, appliance malfunctions can be experienced. If you need anything during your stay we live only a couple blocks away and are happy to be of assistance.
Guest Access:
The property can be accessed via a keyed entry through the main entrance on the street level or the parking garage. There is a $40 USD fee for any lost keys. Guests have access to all of the property except the pool pump room and private owner’s storage.
The Neighborhood:
Bucerias’ 5-mile stretch of soft sandy beaches, cobblestone streets, and Mexican village charm take you back to simpler times. It has become a popular destination in the Riviera Nayarit, but it has managed to keep its authenticity. Many say Bucerias is very much like Puerto Vallarta was in the 1950s, where you can experience the joys of a laid-back beach town without the tourist-palooza that is Puerto and Nuevo Vallarta.
Getting Around:
Bucerias is a great jumping off point for exploring everything Bahia de Banderas and the Riviera Nayarit have to offer. By Car / Uber your place is only:
