Quirky Rustic Lodge-Unique w/Character!

Enjoy a family-friendly, unique experience at this 1940's cabin up among the stars in Bryson City. A lot of love has been put into restoring this beauty into her ole' self and altho she's not perfect, we want to share her glory with our friends and guests. If you like kick back comfort after a long day of trails and sightseeing, reserve some time off at the Hibernation Station.

The cabin is built on an acre of land with views of the mountains and blooming magnolia trees during summer.

The space:
The rustic interior with logs lining the walls and a roaring fireplace creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere at this vacation rental. The fully stocked kitchen, stocked with pots, pans, and spices, is a great feature for guests who enjoy cooking and dining in. The counter and dining seating for 7 allows families and groups to comfortably enjoy meals together.

The third bedroom suite with a private entrance is a thoughtful addition, as it provides privacy for in-laws or young couples who may want their own space. The kitchenette within the third bedroom is also a great convenience. Coffee is available to enjoy from your bed as you watch the sun rise.

It's important to note that there is no dishwasher, which may be a consideration for guests who prefer not to do dishes by hand. However, the fully stocked kitchen and other amenities make up for this.

Overall, this vacation rental is a great option for families or groups who want to enjoy a rustic and cozy atmosphere while still having modern conveniences like a stocked kitchen and separate sleeping areas.

The addition of a wood deck with a 180 degree view of the mountains is a fantastic feature for guests staying at this vacation rental. Enjoy this private feature at night!

Pets are welcome with a $35 non-refundable fee. Max 2. Bring a fresh clean sheet or blanket if they sleep with you to cover the bedspread and avoid stains and spills.
PLEASE INCLUDE THIS FEE DURING THE BOOKING PROCESS.

Wonderful stay!
While this is listed as a “quirky cabin,” for our family it was nothing short of charming and perfect! We fell in love with it the moment we arrived. We had plenty of room for our family of 6 and our 2 small dogs. The host was quick to respond to any messages and when we checked in, we were greeted with a personalized note, bottle of wine, and quality dog treats. This simple act was incredibly thoughtful and meant a lot to us. The cabin was super clean with a beautiful blend of modernization to complement the original parts. We loved everything about the decor and amenities it offered. Our family felt very at peace while in the cabin. It is located just a short drive to the heart of Bryson City, which we loved as we wanted to be close to, but not inside of the main part of town to enjoy some quiet down time. We hope to return sooner than later and would love to book here again! Thanks so much to the host for letting us rent this perfect piece of property!!!

Great Place to stay, convenient to Cherokee, Bryson City, hiking!
Wonderful place with all the amenities you need for a short or long stay. Owner was very responsive, and wanted to make sure we had a great stay. minutes away from the really cute town of Bryson City, with a lot to do. 15 to 20 min from Cherokee, we were able to get transport to and from the casino. Big fenced in yard, perfect for the pups. Just a few miles from the Smoky Mountain National Park, and did some great trail running and hiking. It was wonderful to make dinner, and hang out by the fireplace after all the activities of the day. Highly recommended, especially for the price.

Rustic Lodge
Property was clean and inviting. Access to the house was easy. One bathroom did not have a door, only beads hanging which was a concern. The kitchen has plenty of dishes and cookware for use. Master bathroom shower floor had a crack, but owner stated it was fine to use. Location was a few minutes from downtown which was nice.

I have a lot to be thankful for this year and staying the weekend in the cabin in the mountains was definitely a blessing. It was just what we needed.. Everything was perfect and we felt like it was home. We couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Overall we had a wonderfull stay. Patty was very easy to contact and communicate with. There were some quirks at the house like no doorknob on the back bedroom and the bathroom door in the front hall was only a beaded curtain (no one in our party was comfortable using it). Would also recommend buying some oven mits, pot holders, and a tea kettle, as well as a plunger.

Family Retreat
House was nice and just as advertised. Parking is kinda hairy if there is more than 2 cars. It was difficult to cook because there were not enough utensils and no mixing bowls, hot pads, ect. There were hardly any towels to speak of at all. We were unsure of whether we were to use the decorative towels hanging up or not. The front bathroom has a beaded curtain as a door instead of a door which made it very uncomfortable for anyone to use that bathroom for fear that someone would either walk in on you. Other than those few items we enjoyed ourselves.

Pleasant stay
Cute, quirky place. We enjoyed our stay and slept like babies. Quiet neighborhood . . . rooster crowed from far away in the morning was quite pleasant. Wish there was a couch, but never said there was, so not hosts fault. Overall, we had a great stay.
