Great weekend getaway!

To start with it was my husband and me our 57th wedding anniversary. No hot tub, no good tv. Terrible road going up there, and no good view, power lines hanging in front of you. The house is real nice and clean, but not the amenities and Location.

Best place to stay hands down!!!!!
We loved this cabin and everything in the surrounding area that we literally booked another stay at it while driving back home. Can’t wait until January to go back here!!! Very clean cabin and has everything you’ll need while you’re there. It’s also very close to so many fun things to do. I would give it 10 stars if I could!!!

Guys! This place is nice!
From the moment of walking in, this cabin was amazing. We enjoyed the hot tub and all the amenities. The beds were comfy and everything was immaculate. Everyone was happy to have a king sized bed. We loved rocking on the front porch and enjoying the surroundings. I will definitely book this again. Don’t hesitate!

Accommodations were exactly as specified. Very clean and we loved ghe view from top of the hill. We brought board games but found a closet full of board games. Only item missing to make this better would be small tv in each bedroom . We loved it and we will be back!

We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub and games on site. As mentioned, road is extremely rough and the nearby noise happened on weekdays. There was a stray cat on site often. Beds were comfortable. View was nice from the spacious front porch. Close to town.

We had a great stay! The home was beautiful and very clean. Plenty of room for the 7 guest we had. The host gave great directions to get there as well which made our trip a lot easier. The gravel road up to the property was rough, which was put in the listing, however, I believe it was a bit more then we anticipated especially with lower vehicles. All in all it was a great trip and we enjoyed the house and area a lot!

The property is as stated. Offered four bedrooms which my family needed. The road was bumpy as stated. The one thing that would have been more beneficial was additional towels in each bathroom. I did do the laundry one day for that reason. My granddaughter loved the hot tub.

Was disappointed with the view which was dominated by wires and telephone poles. The dusty gravel road was a pain. And the owner charges were well above typical.

Gross!!!
The home was NOT clean! Drool on the pillow cases, dirty pans in the cabinets, silverware was not and silverware trays were full of crumbs and dirt, hair on the night stands, area rugs that had never been cleaned under (toddler shifted one of the rugs and it was clear that debris was literally just swept under the rug), sat on bar stool at table...screws fell out of it, sat in recliner on sofa, handle hit the floor. Incredibly disappointing given the $900 paid for 3 nights. We ended up leaving an entire day early.

Excellent cabin in great location
The cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed ourselves other than a few disappointments. Wi-Fi did not allow movies to be streamed by on demand with Dish Network, Netflix, or any other choices Jacuzzi stopped working on second day of trip. The heating light would not come on and the water temperature would never rise staying at a chilly level. The pump and jets worked. However, even after looking up the manual online there no options to get it working. We called for service to be provided but it was not available. Couch in living room had one recliner which was broken and would not close. One of the primary reasons this cabin was chosen was for its Jacuzzi amenity. Other than above, the cabin was clean, comfortable, and pleasant to stay in. The location was excellent and allowed access to all nearby amenities. Thanks, Tracy Katz

Roaches/Bed Bugs (1 room), nice cabin
We visited Town Mountain Lodge from 9/2-9/5. Upon arrival we had to kill 2 roaches in the kitchen area and at least 4 more throughout the stay. The ultimate disappointment came when one of my family members went to bed only to find 2 bed bugs in their bed. That couple had to move to another room which was vacant because my dad was in the hospital.I immediately called Vacassa to explain the situation w the bugs. When I gave my name, the staff member stated they needed to talk to my dad because he’s listed as the only person staying in the cabin. I explained to the staff member that I booked the vacation using my dads card and he is unavailable due to being in the hospital and that I entered there would be 8 guest staying. She stated they had no names and I replied we were never told we had to list names. Management Melanie (I think), called the next day and she was awesome, sending an exterminator and making sure we were comfortable. Also offered to compensate for any inconvenience. Overall we made the best of it because there was a spare room, but I’ve never had to experience bed bugs in a costly rental. Ron

Great property for our needs
Ours is a group of 3 fishermen and this was our 2nd annual stay at this property. Perfect layout, nice views, practical kitchen, large bedrooms with comfortable beds and ample space worked well for us. Renters should be aware: the internet access and cellphone coverage are both limited. The in-unit manual specifically warns against streaming video and gaming which might deplete data. We found our internet searching was extraordinary slow and phone reception spotty. There must be a solution to these issues in this information-driven high-tech world. The unit is located at the top of a rugged gravel road. Our 2 SUVs had ample clearance but would not want to drive a low-clearance sports car up and down. I want to stress the unit is clean, comfortable and conveniently located for exploring the Great Smokies southern region. Large, well-stocked grocery store and lots of restaurants are within easy driving distance. We did not use the hot tub so I cannot speak to cleanliness or function. There is a long covered porch with an eastern sunrise view and rocking chairs for quiet rest and reading. The unit sits atop a hill and the yard falls away in all directions so it would probably not be ideal for games and romping. The back yard is a gravel parking area and there is also a carport. Parking 4 cars would be no problem. I’m not a big fan of the living room L-shaped sectional. It is very TV centric but that would likely be fine for folks who watch TV.

Beautiful Home Not So Good Location
While this was a beautiful home, here are the pros and cons of this rental. Pros: Hot tub, functionality for a family with adults, and well stocked kitchen for cooking. Clean towels, linens, washer, dryer (bring laundry detergent), and plenty dishes, glasses, and eating utensils. Hot tub was very clean and smelled clean. Grill was clean. Grocery store within 5 minutes of cabin. Ample space as so noone is walking over top of someone else. Cons: Black mold build up on shower heads in two bathrooms (VACASA very apologetic and addressed the issue by way of monetary compensation), 75 yard washed out gravel driveway to cabin requiring some careful driving (smaller lighter vehicles may not be as successful navigating the driveway steepness). Flooring manufacturing (Beasley Flooring) plant located adjacent to the property that produced production noise (very early morning). Very limited paper products (we brought extra). Dish washer soap dispenser was a hit or miss. We were told to try again, but by the time I received the text message, we had already rewashed the dishes by hand. One bed missing mattress cover, but it was ok, didn't hinder us from sleeping. If you don't like a firm mattress, be prepared. All mattresses were pretty firm in each bedroom. As stated in the ad, cell service is not great at all. All in all, we had a great time, but I would not rebook this cabin simply because of the noisy manufacturing plant and the driveway condition, especially in the winter months.
