"We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Catherine’s beautiful gîte! We drove from the UK and met up with the grandparents from the US in order to see all of the D-Day sites. This location was absolutely perfect to visit sites around Bayeux and also Utah Beach and Ste Mere Eglise. "First, Bénédicte and Marc are the best hosts I’ve ever had. They met us at the cottage and greeted us as family. They gave us so many wonderful treats and suggestions and made our trip more memorable. The cottage is beautiful, spacious, comfortable and spotless. It has everything you need. "Everything is easy to walk to, staff very helpful and friendly. Property was clean and secure. Room was small but I believe that is typical for France. Twin bed was enough for 1 person. I arrived at 3:15 but had to wait because they don’t open the office for check in until 4 pm. The continental breakfast was very good, everything was fresh and good coffee. They also allowed me to leave my bags there while I was on a day tour. Again staff was very helpful "
