Nice place to stay. Nothing fancy but perfect for a weekend hitting the trails. Parking with trailers can be a little challenging but the lot across the road is open to park in but not convenient.
Good location, clean affordable. But you can not control the heat and air. No thermostat. You have to contact your host. Not much going on with tv. Just Netflix in and out.
8/26/23 The perfect amount of space needed , very clean and comfortable! Unfortunately all the town’s restaurants are no longer in service ( bowling alley next door can cook a frozen pizza or burger) The corner gas station has a mini supermarket attached for real groceries. Unfortunately this listing has no stove so u are limited to cooking food types in pizza oven or microwave only. But this listing is perfect location to lots of waterfalls and close to Porcupine Mountain. I overall definitely recommend this place.
This was my 2nd stay at this location & everything was great! They were wonderful about a last minute additional guest. I will
definitely keep them in mind for future visits to see my family.
My sister and I enjoyed this super unique place to stay. The sheets were soft, futon couches comfy, a full-size frig, shower pressure good. There was not a coffee maker and not much in the way of dishes but I think its newly listed so the owners may still be adding stuff to the basic setup. We had everything we needed due to being equipped to camp in the wilder places we had been. We based from here to visit far and wide across the UP, at the tail-end of a 3-week research trip that took us through Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, up through Wisconsin and then to Michigan's upper peninsula, visiting ancient sites like mounds, effigies, and places where pyramids once stood. Copper mining that goes back 10,000 years is what drew us up north. We met the girls staying on the other side of the sled shop (also a vacation rental) and either side would be awesome for a hunting base or ATV weekend. This place is definitely set up to cater to guys, with neon bar signs decor and a little pizza oven. Also, it is next door to a Bar/Bowling Alley. We very much enjoyed our stay.
