"Probably my fault but I didn't realize deposit had to be in cash. So had to scramble to find ATM to get $300. Then checking out they doubled the cleaning fee on us. They didn't provide toilet paper or dish soap and had to go to the store to buy some. Would have been nice to know there was no toilet paper before going to the bathroom."

"A l'arrivée dans le grand gite, nous avons noté un manque de principales choses qui auraient dû ne pas manquées, comme le produit vaisselle, les éponges, produits d'entretien , papier wc, tout ce que nous trouvons d'habitude dans une location,sinon tout le reste parfait et propre, les 3 jours: visites aux alentours , marche dans les sables mouvants(super) et marche dans les falaises du Cotentin (merveilleux , difficile un peu)"

"Charming spot is as described, stone house with a brook running behind. Stayed in early March so the house had to be heated by the wood stove fairly constantly. Some wood was provided but we had to go up the hill to fill a wheelbarrow for another load. Internet access was sketchy at times. A weak signal. The source is up a steep hill in the host’s house and we only had 1 bar on our phones at best. One night we had a power outage. The host was not on the property to address the problem. The...

"We spent two nights at the gites with a group of 20. We don't speak French, but we wanted to see Mont Saint Michel. The manager didn't speak English, so we had a communication problem from the beginning. We needed sheets , and the cleaning fee did not seem optional, so the cost was higher than I anticipated from the ad. The gites were clean and secure. There was ample dishes for cooking and meals. "Rien à dire de négatif. Marine a été d une grande disponibilité et sympa en plus, la maison est vraiment très grande et bien aménagée. Nous étions 20 personnes et on a eu de l'espace et chacun notre intimité. Le grand terrain nous a permis de faire de bonnes parties de football, bref génial. "One of the beds on second floor was uncomfortable, trip hazards for young children, particularly in kitchen area. On the plus side, the chateau is very well equipped, beautiful crockery, dishes and bowls. Stunning location, historic chateau with ancient aspects. We really enjoyed our stay and thank Katia and Gerhard for their attention to detail. We thoroughly recommend this property and its location. "
