A great place to stay in Brookings.
A beautiful house with a fabulous view down to the sea . The house is in a quiet area, but with a very easy drive to local stores....and a great breakfast place nearby!! The rental has comfortable beds and a clean,well-equipped kitchen. A wonderful view from the living room...we enjoyed watching the ever changing ocean views!

My stay
I loved staying here!! It was dog friendly which is amazing!! When I walked in it looked amazing!! There was no dust anywhere the fireplace was easy to turn on and the beds felt like sleeping on a cloud. And the kitchen had pots and pans but also spoons plates and bowls and so much more it was a cozy yet amazing little house to stay in! Would definitely stay there again and recommend you do to!!

Very clean and close to everything
This is a home is adorable! It’s tucked back at the end of a dead-end street very close to town and all the shops! It’s not far from Harris beach ,which is a Great Beach! It was missing a couple of amenities like coffee and Ziploc baggies so you might want to bring those or other containers to put your leftovers in but all in all I highly recommend this sweet little home.

Great little house
This home was perfect for the two of us and our dog. Off the highway, in a very nice quiet neighborhood. Close to grocery and other amenities, not walking close, but easy to find. The yard is nice, not fully fenced though. If your pup isn’t good with the basics you will need to leash up. They could improve this with a quick fix by adding a bit more fencing. The yard is share , but we never saw anyone else. The kitchen is minimal. Pots, pans, knives and silverware is there. I didn’t do cooking, since we had a short stay. There is a coffee pot and a little coffee, and a toaster. We had a great time, and would stay here again.

Delightful Stay
Our stay was delightful!! The neighborhood was quiet and clean. The parking is easy and right near a door for easy loading and unloading. (No stairs to deal with)The location is great. Less than a quarter of a mile from a grocery store and close to many restaurants and the Ocean. The house itself is wonderful!! Newly refurbished with all new furniture and fresh paint. Wonderful decor and great artwork. The living room was a very pleasant place to spend time reading or looking at the ocean off in the distance. Roku was available on the tv in the living room and in the master bedroom. The bathroom is very nice with a tub/shower combo and a motion detector light at floor level. The house has wood floors with area rugs throughout. The kitchen is way more than adequate with everything you could need right down to a cork screw and a bottle opener. There are even coffee singles in case you forget to bring coffee. The laundry room has a washer and dryer plus a separate half bath. We thoroughly enjoyed Brookings!! We suggest that you find time to collect info at the Crissey Field Welcome Center just south of Brookings. They had great info on Brookings and for the rest of our Oregon trip. Hope your stay is as wonderful as ours was.

Overall this place is great. Its near everything, tidy, well priced, great ocean view and well stocked. We would stay there again in an instant! It was perfect for us. Nitty gritty: The neighborhood is totally fine, but if you are looking for the fancy part of town, look elsewhere. It is quiet and feels very safe, but is for sure an older neighborhood on the outskirts of town. Communication with the rental agency was fine, but it did take over 5 hours for them to respond to my question of whether or not we could check in early (we could not). So keep that in mind.

We will be back
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chapman View. The house is less than a 5 minute drive from the ocean where we walked our dog every day. We drove south to the redwoods (about 40 minutes) and up the coast to many different beaches which were gorgeous. The interior of the house is cozy with a stunning view from the large living room windows. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked so we cooked a lot. It was handy to have laundry facilities. Although there were only two of us, we will be back with our friends, as we can see now that this house can accommodate 6 people.
