This bright and airy petite self-catering accommodation can be found on the first floor of a period building on a quiet one way street. Very centrally located, only a few steps away from sea views, Viking Bay and the main promenade at Broadstairs.
We're based in London but have a local manager called Alistair who is always available to contact.
Broadstairs has a seafaring past and is today a charming and unspoilt seaside resort - many remnants of our Victorian heritage can be found throughout the town. During the summer months, Viking Bay attracts many holidaymakers for it's old fashioned funfair, vintage ice cream parlours and swing boats, Punch and Judy shows, surf school and fireworks displays while neighbouring Stone Bay has fantastic rock pools.
Nearby Joss Bay has some of the best waves in the area with it's own surf school and kayaks for hire. Walkers and cyclists can take advantage of the 25 mile long Viking Trail around the Isle of Thanet which passes through Margate and Ramsgate and offers breathtaking views of the local coastline and villages. There are fantastic walks where at low tide Broadstairs and Ramsgate or Broadstairs and Margate are connected by beaches and, in season, there are a couple of cafes along the way for lunch or other refreshments.
Little Star of the Sea is located in the heart of Broadstair's historic town, centrally placed on a peaceful residential street just off the seafront. It is no more than a couple of minutes walk from Viking Bay and a diverse multitude of restaurants, bars, pubs, micro breweries, coffee shops, ice cream parlours, shops and museums. There is no need for a car.
When you're ready to leave the beach, Broadstairs offers many other attractions - among them, The Palace Cinema, one of England's smallest with only 111 seats, mini golf and wonderful Morelli's (an original 1950's ice cream parlour). The wonderful shops and galleries of both Margate and Ramgate are also within easy reach as is Dreamland and it's vintage rides and street food in Margate.
This is a self contained flat, exclusively for guests.
Walking out of the door you will be greeted by the fresh sea air and calming breeze. Inside you will find a petit period apartment with vintage treasures providing everything you will need for a personal retreat, a romantic getaway or a small family break. A great combination of comfort and value.
The apartment consists of; one (very snug) bedroom with a Euro double bed and built in storage for all your belongings, lounge with sofa and TV / DVD facilities, a small table at which to work if you need to, a fully equipped kitchen with views of the church and a newly renovated shower room / toilet.
We do try to cater for any special requirements you might have, please ask and we have a safe key for easy self check in access to the property.
Towels and linen are provided and included in the price.
The apartment would be described as petite and is therefore a great base for individuals or couples exploring the local town and surrounding areas. We may be able to provide a travel cot (without bedding and please note the cot will not fit in the bedroom so would have to be put up and folded down as required in the living room) and the apartment may be suitable for a small family willing to squeeze in but please enquire first so we can ensure it will fit your needs.
It is an old building with thin walls and floors so while it is a generally peaceful place, please do just be aware it is sometimes possible to hear noise from the upstairs and downstairs neighbours.
We're about a 10-15 minute walk from Broadstairs train station with fast links to London. There is no free parking outside the property due to it's central location but there are (rather expensive) car parks, metered parking or free uncontrolled parking about a 10 minute walk away. Details will be sent on booking.
That said, the flat is close all amenities and to both bus stops and Broadstairs train station so a car is definitely not necessary.
