The Space:
You’ll first come into an opulent entrance hall, with a chandelier, side table and large mirror, flowing through to a spacious living space with polished floorboards throughout. There’s a comfy modular lounge suite, an armchair, and wall-mounted 75” smart TV, along with a ceiling fan and reverse-cycle aircon for year-round comfort. A separate dining area offers a table with 8 chairs, while glass doors open up to a covered outdoor patio with its own 8-seater table, a family-sized barbecue and ceiling fan. This patio extends along the side of the house where you’ll find an outdoor sofa. The house’s galley-style kitchen comes with stone benchtops, a large LG side-by-side fridge/freezer with icemaker, a 4-burner gas stove top, wall oven, microwave, coffee machine and soda stream. For convenience, stacker windows can be opened to create a servery hatch between the kitchen and patio. There’s also a second, separate indoor living area which is carpeted and comes with a lounge suite, coffee table, wall heater and aircon.
The house has 3 bedrooms, all with wall-mounted, reverse-cycle aircon and block-out blinds or shutters. A bedroom off the entrance hall has a queen-sized bed and a built-in study desk/workspace, while the master bedroom (with a king sized bed) and a third bedroom (queen bed) both have their own wall-mounted smart TV, ceiling fan and walk-in wardrobe. The master bedroom also boasts an ensuite bathroom with a double shower and double vanity. The house’s master bathroom provides a roomy shower recess with a frameless glass screen and a heated towel rack.
Another wonderful feature of the house is its expansive backyard, offering a sizable lawn area and stunning swimming pool with sun-lounges and large shade umbrella, surrounded by a landscaped garden. There’s also yet another alfresco (but covered) lounge area with a 3-seater sofa, 2 armchairs and an outdoor shower.
The dedicated laundry is accessible from the back yard and comes with a top-loader washing machine and drying rack. It’s next to a powder room which services the alfresco dining area and swimming pool.
The Neighborhood:
Situated less than 10 minutes’ drive from Brisbane Airport and 17 minutes from the CBD (Downtown), Clayfield is an upmarket suburb with stately homes and tree-lined streets. The house itself is in a great location, walking distance to eateries, a Harris Farm supermarket and the Clayfield Fish markets. Picnic lovers with enjoy Kalinga Park, only a few minutes’ drive away, with playgrounds for the kids too. Visit the Eagle Farm Markets, on every Sunday for fresh produce, gourmet foods, arts, crafts, and more. Golfing enthusiasts can tee off at the Virginia Golf Club, just 10 minutes’ drive from the house
Getting Around:
The house comes with a lockable garage for 2 cars. For those who like public transport, nearby buses will deliver you into the Brisbane CBD (Downtown) in about half an hour.
Other Things to Note:
* A gardener attends the property every Wednesday morning between 9am-11am to maintain the garden. He doesn't require access to the house and will keep any disruption to guests to an absolute minimum.
* Due to strict noise policies in strata buildings and Australian council by-laws, guests must avoid making loud noise, particularly between the hours of 10 pm – 8 am. Please understand that guests who break this rule may be evicted and financial penalties may also apply, depending on the circumstances.
* An additional $40 will be charged to your total if a check-in happens after 8 pm, and we require your arrival time as the Concierge does not live on site.
