Great place!
We had a lovely time. We went paddle boating and had a ball. The view was the most beautiful scenery we've ever seen. Also went to the Fryberg Fair and had an awesome time! Thank you for letting us in your lovely cabin.

Relaxing Getaway
My husband and I were looking for a quiet relaxing getaway. If we were a bit more agile we would have used more of the available amenities provided. Paddle boards, canoe etc. We enjoyed the front porch and my husband liked watching the boat landing activities across the road. The owner was helpful and patient as we navigated through our first lakeside rental. Thank you, Chantel.

The view
Being on the pond was amazing. We got a lot of kayaking in and a little fishing too. My children loved wading and swimming in the water. Loved the solo firepit and the fact that there is plenty of wood on site.. The road is busy as was stated in other reviews. But the accessibility to the water and kayaks and paddleboat made it worth it.

Wonderful relaxing vacation with stunning views
My family and I had a nice relaxing week on the lake. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. Moose Pond was great for kayaking, and exploring. Venezia Italian restaurant up the street is a great eat! Black horse tavern was also a great spot. Great distance to North Conway for a day trip. We would definitely recommend rental. Previous reviews mentioned the main road and boat launch across the street which was disclosed but it did not bother us. The views are worth it!

Nice spot to get on the lake
This was a quaint and campy spot right off of 302 across from the boat launch in Bridgton. The house was clean and the host was great with communication. We booked this at the last minute, literally the day before our trip, but had no difficulties at all in making our 3 night visit happen. There were kayaks, a paddle boat, and a paddle board to use so we didn't need to haul ours. It's a really nice spot, if a bit busy during the day due to traffic on 302.

Clean and Lots to do!
This adorable little cottage had everything we wanted as a family. It slept 6 very comfortably, had enough water crafts for us all to enjoy the pond together (even at night while watching the shooting stars), minutes from the Shawnee Peak hiking trails, close proximity to restaurants and shopping, and a smokeless fire pit at which to sit at night while we recapped the days events.

Great fall getaway
My husbanc and I really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The cottage is very comfortable and cozy. The proximity to the lakes region and awesome hiking and kayaking cannot be beat. The trailhead for hiking Pleasant Mountain is only a few miles away, and the 180 degree view of the White Mountains from the top are incredible. The location is on a very busy road, and we heard constant traffic, but we expected that from the other reviews. The boat launch directly across the street is very convenient if you want to bring your motorboat.

Perfect Little Getaway
My husband and I spend 5 days here and loved every second of it. The location was great, close to Portland and North Conway. We loved using the Kayaks for a quiet stroll around the lake and enjoying a campfire at night. The cabin had everything we needed to cook some meals and enjoy some much needed relaxation! We found an amazing sports bar in Cornish that was called Bay Haven. They had an amazing surf and turf if you are looking for a fresh lobster served perfectly! We would definitely stay here again!

nice little get away
This was clean and right off the main rt 302 and across from the boat launch. With the boat launch being directly across from drive way, the parking for that ramp is the shoulder of the road in front of the cabin. The boaters never blocked the drive way it made it difficult attimes to pull out of the drive way. The road is busy during the day and if your looking for quite, your definatley going to here rd noise. At night it quited down and the bedrooms are on the back side of the house. Cabin was clean and well stocked. The beds were a bit to firm but in good shape. The paddle board and kayak were a big hit lake and dock are nice. Kitchen had everything to prepare meals with ease. Overall good stay and would recommend especially if you have a boat you can launch across the rd.

Great time on Moose Pond
Everything was exactly as advertised. Very clean, fully stocked kitchen. Fire pit was great. Kayaks and paddle boards were lots of fun. Yes, it was a loud busy road, but a great view. We enjoyed our stay.

Loved the little town of Bridgton. There were many shops and boutiques with unique items, the Rufus Porter museum gave some interesting history. We visited the farmers market, got smoothies from Nectar and had the freshest, most delicious lobster, mussels and clams from the little red fish market. The property was clean and accommodating with nice views of the lake and mountains. The one drawback was that the property was on a main road with a lot of traffic. Also, because the boat launch for the lake was directly across the street there were always trucks of boat owners parked in-front of the property, do I didn't have the naturesque privacy I had expected. We did enjoy the toasting marshmallows in the fire pit and I saw loons on the lake one morning, which was a big plus for me. When all is said and done, it was a great get away.

Mixed experience
There were some nice thing about the house. The access to the pond was great. The free use of kayaks, paddle board, and paddle boat were fun. There were lots of games, puzzles , & toys available for all ages in multiple languages. There were plenty of dishes and silverware. However, there were a few things that were unpleasant. First, when we arrived, the house reeked of a musty, damp basement smell. With all windows open day and night, it took several days to clear, and the couches still smelled when we left. Both mattresses were uncomfortable. The screens all had small holes, so there were lots of insects in the evenings. This was neither good or bad for us, but the house is right across from a boat ramp. There are trucks with boat trailers parked up and down the road in front of the house from very early morning to late. Good to know if that might bother you. If you rent knowing it's a little rustic and camp-like, you might be ok. If those things bother you, you might want to keep looking.

Overall good experience
Overall we had a nice visit to a beautiful state. For my husband, he was disappointed there was not a coffee maker as stated in the description and there were blinds missing on windows facing the road. Not sure why that was but we survived.

Convenient and plenty to do, rain or shine
The fact that we could take out the provided kayaks and paddle board out from the backyard saved us the headache of rentals, towing, and docking. Super cozy feel. Unfortunately, it is right in the road and it was quite noisy with highway traffic. Wish there was a fan to help circulate the air since it was warm throughout the day/night but luckily with the pond being super accessible, jumping in for a swim was extremely refreshing.

Great location for summer fun!
Rented the cabin for the month of July. Enjoyed my stay very much: kayaked the Saco River, visited Mt. Washington, saw opera in Portland. Bridgton is a cute village with nice restaurants and fun shops. Bridgton’s Pondicherry Park is great for walking. The cabin was well equipped and the beds comfy. Internet connection was fine. My only reservation about my stay involved my allergies. I don’t know the causative agent that attacked me, but I am allergic to mold, cats, dust and pollen...and I did have the windows open the whole time because of the heat. These allergies are not the fault of the owner.

Nice cottage on a great lake
Four of us rented this cottage for about eight days and we all enjoyed it very much. All of the windows in the front room open it up wonderfully and provide lots of fresh air. It is convenient to local attractions and the town of Bridgton and has an excellent view of the lake on both sides of the causeway. Owner Chantal was very responsive to communications leading up to our visit as well as any concerns we raised during our stay. The owners provide a number of "toys" including several for on the water (e.g. a 1-person kayak, a 2-person kayak, and a stand up paddleboard) as well as books, videos and VHS and Blu-Ray players, and some toys for children (puzzles, blocks, etc.). Being right on the lake makes it very easy to launch a kayak or to just sit and enjoy the view. There are plenty of sleeping options for the number of people they accept including two bedrooms and several sleeper sofas. The owners provide all the necessary linens (sheets and towels) and cooking apparatus (electric griddle, coffee pot, pots & pans, etc.) needed for your stay. So thumbs up for this cottage on Moose Pond. Just don't go when I want to use it!
