"The hotel was a joy to stay at. The staff are fabulous and Nicole at breakfast was so lovely. The food was really good and would recommend the Argento rose as a perfect end to the day. The bar staff would look after an open bottle for us in the fridge. The rooms were so comfortable and the bathroom was perfect and clean. I am definitely coming back on my next visit to Dartmoor. Thank you to all the staff for creating a welcoming hotel."

"A lovely place to stay. From the minute we walked in wa we was made to feel welcome. The room was very clean and had a very comfortable king-size bed a a fabulous walkin shower. The food was amazing and the home made crumpets are out of this world. "

"If you are looking to stay in a traditional English Pub, this is the place. Cozy rooms with great washroom facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds. Rooms are equipped with electricity outlets, wifi and tv for those needing it. The pub itself is fantastic with a very well stocked bar. "Check-in was at the bar. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There's limited on street parking but I was lucky enough to a space right outside. The food in the bar/restaurant looked superb and it was fairly busy when I got there, however I didn't try the food as I already had other plans for the evening. I did have a drink at the bar and the prices were reasonable. I was shown to my room, which was in a separate block adjacent to the bar and beer garden. The ground floor room was clean...

"Hugh and Denise were the most welcoming hosts. The room was comfortable and warm and the evening meal and breakfast were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at the Elephant’s nest. "
