Pros: I came with a group of friends & we all agreed the beds were comfortable, the house was clean. Those things were most important to us, so it checked the boxes nicely. It was super close to the Bangor airport, which made coordinating flights in and out easy. It was centrally located. If we'd stayed in Bar Harbor, Acadia would have been closer but the airports would have been further and the things we wanted to do in other areas would have been much further, so I think it was a good call to be more centrally located, like we were here. Gas stations & a grocery store with awesome produce were within just a couple of minutes' drive. Def needed that car rental. The hot tub & back yard by the river was lovely. After a long day of hiking, that hot tub was awesome. Very clean and well kept, looked new.
Cons: The road noise was our biggest con. There wasn't a ton of traffic but each night at least once a loud motorcycle went by and startled me awake. We all normally sleep with earbuds in anyway so it wasn't a problem, but if you're staying here and sensitive to night time road noise, maybe bring some headphones. The owner could add a white noise maker if they wanted to help with that. The cabin's amenities were pretty bare bones. It wasn't a problem at all for us, since we left early and came back late, but if you were planning on being in the house to cook big meals every day, it might be not great for that.
