My brother and I brought our Mom for a tour at the Blue bell creamery. We also enjoyed the stores and restraurants in town. Great trip!

Absolutely lovely view as soon as you arrive. Sweet little apartment in a barn with incredible views. Nice big shower. Lovely kitchenette with welcoming smells of fresh baked bread. Bed was firm yet comfortable. Clean and with such a homey feel. Very close to town and if you are antiquing it is close to the little towns for the adventure. Host was very friendly. Definitely will be coming back to stay.

Quaint country get away for our 28th anniversary
Great weekend get away, clean, quiet, nice place to relax - spacious place in serene sitting - quiet as a church mouse - the homemade sourdough bread and strawberry jam was amazing - the fresh flowers with the note for our anniversary was truly heartwarming - highly recommended for a great relaxing getaway !!

Cookies in the Country
Wonderful hospitality at Gathering Grains! We were in Brenham for the TABC basketball camp with our son and this GG was the perfect place to enjoy (wish we would’ve had more time to unwind). Short drive into Blinn JC and downtown Brenham for basketball and entertainment. Would love to stay there again for camp next year! …and the chocolate chip cookies were amazing (thanks Dianne).

Perfect Round Top Getaway
This was the perfect place for a roundtop getaway for myself and my friend! The home is beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed drinking coffee in the mornings on the back porch looking at the rolling lush green hills, before making the short trip into roundtop. All the communication was quick and polite and the host went above and beyond to create a memorable weekend.

Very beautiful property! It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. I also left my watch and the owner went above and beyond to get it back to me. We had a wonderful weekend and will definitely come back!

Lovely, secluded, comfortable
Great little spot tucked away, the property is exactly as pictured. Very clean, new, well-appointed, tons of natural light. Cell service was dicey (T-Mobile) but the onsite Wi-Fi was fine for us to stream HD movies without trouble. As a couple looking to get away from the kids and dogs it was perfect.

Relaxing in the country
We stayed for 4 nights for a peaceful thanksgiving. We did have the sister in law visit for a day. And the rest of the time spent relaxing. The view from the cabin is so beautiful. The entire property is so well maintained. And the owners are very nice. The homes and farms around made an afternoon drive a must.

Extended Weekend Getaway!
Gathering Grains Guest Retreat allowed for antique shopping by day and relaxing by afternoon. Just a 10 minute drive to a variety of restaurants, if you're not looking to cook. The property is accurately listed; a real gem! We appreciated the fresh baked bread and preserves. We'll definitely keep this property in mind when we return.

Cute little bungalow!
This little country cottage was perfect for our group of 4 seventy year old girl friends! We were on our first adventure to the Round Top Antique Show and this provided a wonderful home base. The house was charming AND spotless. Dianne, the owner, and her sheltie, Izzy, popped over to meet us as we were enjoying a lovely outdoor happy hour! All and all, a great experience!

Wonderful country retreat
This property is perfect for a personal retreat. It is located in a very quiet and peaceful location. The hosts have done a great job in creating a beautiful space. It has everything needed for a getaway. The area has plenty for those that wish to get out and see the countryside and for those that wish to stay at the property and experience a renewal of spirit. The homemade bread provided upon arrival was wonderful. I very much look forward to returning to this location and I will definitely be referring it to friends that need an escape from the city.

I went to get away from the city. I needed quiet and peaceful. That is what I got, and more! Dianne and Rich have a great place and were excellent hosts! I was greeted with delicious fresh baked breads (which is Dianne's specialty). Great weekend getaway with special touches! I look forward to coming agian.

Outstanding Property
This is an outstanding Property. It is very clean and very well furnished with extra you normally don't get. Both with bathroom amenities and and full kitchen utensils. Also the loaf of fresh pumpkin bread and the bottle of champagne "We were celebrating our 46th wedding Anniversary", was very thoughtful and much appreciated. This property is very peaceful, relaxing, and close to Brenham. The pictures on the website do not reflect how nice this property actual is. Would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Brenham Wedding
My wife and I couldn't find a hotel available for a wedding we were attending in Brenham. As an alternative, we found this cottage on a farm. To our surprise, we were the first guests to book this cottage. The place had just been built and was nicely furnished and decorated. There was even a fresh baked banana nut bread for us. This is a great place to break away from the city life. We have already recommended this place to people at the wedding and plan to go back again ourselves. This time for a longer stay. Lastly, we met the hosts in the morning and they were very friendly. Good people, great place, and relaxing scenery!

Awesome weekend getaway
This house made our weekend anniversary getaway so awesome! Dianne's thoughtful gift and amazing sourdough bread were a very much appreciated bonus to the great house. We loved the location and the beautiful surroundings on the farm. We sat outside each evening in the adirondack chairs to watch the sunset. We were a little over 20 minutes from Round Top so it was a perfect location for attending the antique market, which coincidenced with our anniversary weekend. We were also so close to the city of Brenham for the very little food supplies we needed from HEB and for dining options. The house had everything we needed, was very well stocked and very clean. We are already looking into when we can return for our next stay. Thank you so much for helping to make this the best anniversary we have had so far.
