"Great Hotel. Super renovation bringing it back to glory days but modern. Sad the restaurant was closed while we were there."

"This is a very traditional historic Swiss Hotel, located next to a bus station that is the end of the line (about a twenty minute scenic bus ride to St. Moritz). Because the hotel is very old, it has natural character and charm. That said, the bathrooms are modern. Our room had a balcony and nice view (but deck a bit creaky, due to age of planks - like I said, it is an old structure). "Reine Victoria is BEAUTIFUL. This is where we were supposed to stay. Unfortunately, we had to make a last minute change to our itinerary. Although our reservation was non-refundable/non-changeable, they were kind enough to accommodate my change! The only catch was i had to stay at Laudinella, which is under construction, so no amenities on the premises. With the being said, it's a quick walk right across the street.... however... i had no desire to walk across the street (in the snow) to use the hot tub, so we missed out on that. We did try to have drinks at the bar, but it was closed for a few hours for a private event. Again, another bummer. This was only a layover where we were catching the Glacier Express, but besides skiing, I'm not sure what else there is to do in the area? They do have a shuttle to/ from the train station, which we didn't know, so we ended up paying (27CFS) for a cab. Breakfast was great!!!"
