Mill House is a characterful 200 year old stone cottage with exposed original beams and a real fire in an inglenook hearth, situated in a beautiful riverside location on the edge of the Brecon National Park in mid/south Wales. It's an ideal base for walking, fishing, birdwatching, golf, cycling, boating, canoeing and canal adventures, or you can just relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery ! Watch red kites swoop overhead, or salmon leap in the river in autumn!

The cottage is private and is set in a quiet rural location. A beautiful romantic retreat or a great base for family fun! Mill House has a living room with a real fire, sumptuous comfy sofas and a large 'smart' TV (for Netflix, Amazon Prime etc); fibreoptic wifi; a well-equipped kitchen with oven and hob, microwave, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer; and a spacious dining room. The dining room opens onto a balcony and patio areas - both overlooking the pretty river. Ideal for relaxing with a drink and a good book! Upstairs, there is the main tiled bathroom with toilet, vanity unit and deep bath; a comfy double bedroom; and two single bedrooms - one has an en suite equipped with toilet, washbasin and power shower.
The cottage is 5 miles north of Brecon, with two supermarkets, a cinema, theatre, leisure centre, visitors' centre, quaint individual shops, and a wide selection of cafes and restaurants serving locally-sourced food and drink. There are two golf courses within a few miles of the cottage, and the beautiful book town of Hay-on-Wye is only a short drive away (15 miles). It is a stunning area for walkers with waterfalls, woodland, and open moorland to explore. Come and enjoy your very own rural retreat !
