The rental was well stocked and comfortable. Everything was well thought out to make our stay comfortable. We needed fans, high chair, bath mat, rugs for our car, sleds, humidifiers, and they were all found in the rental. This was a great space for our family and shared some quality time there.

Family Fun in Breck
I brought my wife, our 3-year-old daughter, my 13-year-old daughter, my wife's best friend, and her 13-year-old daughter, and we had a fantastic time. The home was in excellent condition and was representative of the photos online. The kids loved the hot tub, and the grill on the deck was a huge bonus. We cooked out most of the nights we were in town. I definitely would consider coming back in the future to this property.

Property neglected
The setting, neighborhood and access to the gondola make it hard to not love this house. Unfortunately, appliances were broken and general maintenance was lacking. We had no dryer and no oven For a ten day stay.

Mostly Good
House was nice but does need some TLC. Ice machine in fridge on last legs as it pathetically generates ice, so we bought three bags of ice to supplement during our stay. King bed in basement desperately needs a new mattress. Most of the crank windows were tough to close. Dishwasher trays out of whack and didn’t always thoroughly clean so it might be time to replace that appliance. All the toilets are low and not “comfort height”. Many of the window blinds were broken and had to be wrangled with or could t be raised at all. During a two-week stay the blinds couldn’t be fixed and the refrigerator water filter couldn’t be replaced. The clothes dryer snagged many articles of clothing on something in the drum and left black marks on those clothes, sheets and towels we dried so that appliance needs attention as well!! But overall we enjoyed our stay and liked that the house had many spices and seasoning’s available. If you rent you have to text the management firm when you need trash picked up from inside the garage as there is no schedule. They were responsive and came twice during our 2- week stay. They don’t recycle but we separated ours and took the recycles over to a Breck recycle location 3 miles away, in week #2. There were plenty of towels for the baths and for the large hot tub. Hiking trails are everywhere. Gondola is only a two block walk. And walking to Main Street was safe and easy and only a little over a mile downhill. We enjoyed walking the dog all over the Shock Hill neighborhood.

Atypical Cucumber Patch experience -sadly
First we want to say the actual location is nice. We have stayed on Cucumber Patch several years with other providers. This was our first year to use Pinnacle. When we first arrived at the home we were very excited. Then issues began to arise. The Comforters ALL smelled foul & musty. In fact so much so we had to take them off all the beds. Then there was no blanket between sheets and comforter. The downstairs MBR sheets had hair all over them and dead skin in the tub. Then we found we could not get water or ice from the Refrigerator. Ben did call that evening in response. However I found his response to be insulting. We were told the tap water was fine. First of all - no one should make an assumption of another's choices for Health. Secondly, you may want to search the Web with EWG website tap water rating for Breck. Not good. The tech sent was personable enough however he mentioned that since the filter was so old and the replace filter light was on from the moment we walked in the house -he would need to order one and would be back. Not he nor any other tech came back. We continued to be unable to use it - there was no filter & barely anything came out and there was no water pressure and it was not able to put out water or make ice. Also Air circulation is horrible in this particular home because this owner decided NOT to get ceiling fans in any of rooms of the house. The MBR a upstairs is difficult to warm as it does not have a fireplace in the upstairs bedroom as others on CP Lane. Blank-off plates are all over the house where those things should be (we’ve stayed in other units- they had ceiling fans). House suffers because of it. Valves for the kitchen sink don’t actually shut off when you turn them off. Water continues dripping out for a few seconds. The appliances are very old and some of the button printed symbols are non existent. Guessed which to turn on for the coffee pot. The knives were all very dull in the kitchen and there were basic kitchen items not available; colander for example. The one space heater we found smelled like it was about to burst into flames so that was unusable. There were no instructions as to how to work the TVs or find stations or any of the other appliances for that matter. We truly felt this unit was VERY overpriced for the value received. There is much potential if the owners care.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
The townhome is very well located for access to the gondola and quick trips into downtown. The walk to the gondola was fine for most, but a little challenging in ski boots, and just a little longer than you’d prefer to walk in ski boots with gear in tow, but doable. The home is well maintained with plenty of space for our group to spread out. We really enjoyed the hot tub post skiing and appreciated the towels nearby. It was also very well stocked with towels in all the bathrooms and enough shampoo, conditioner, and lotion to get you through the first couple days. The rest of the house is also well equipped with an initial supply of essentials like tp, paper towel and a nice selection of spices in the cabinet, and has all the kitchen supplies you could ever need-except for an electric kettle, not necessary, but would be a nice addition. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

6/10 Okay

Diane D.

Layout of the home and location were great, maintanance lacking.
Grill was rusted and falling apart, rental company replaced it. Master shower head was leaving a trickle of water, and they replaced that. Dishwasher needed a set of wheels replaced, so the dish tray could be pulled out. That was done. The large hunter douglas blind in the master didn't work, making it difficult to open to use the fan, necessary in the summer.....I was holding it up with chip clips......that was finally fixed. after several weeks. Fourth burner on the stove didn't work. Cutlery lacking--there were only 6 forks, and 4 butter knives...the rest was OK. The furniture needs a good steam cleaning and the floors were encrusted with old dirt.....the grout in the kitchen was black. Small rugs throughout the home (the only rugs) had no pads under them, making them a bunching and tripping hazard. No vacuum available when we got there, but rental company brought one. One broken spatula to use, and one broken dustpan.......(I bought my own). No slow cooker and fry pans non stick ability no longer working. I bought my own extra large fry pan with lid to make do. BUT, despite all these frustrations, it could be a really great place. Just needs some TLC. The gondola location is fabulous and the duplex in a pretty setting with lots of neighborhood walking paths through the woods and cross country ski in the winter. We had a good time after everything was fixed. We were there for 2 months. Conclusion: clean the floors and furniture and stock a better kitchen.
