"It was good. The door where you hang you coats was broken and I struggled to open it. However, the bed was comfortable to sleep in and breakfast and dinner was delicious."

"They didnt have an overnight concierge which was inconvenient when we arrived late at night so we ended up staying at anothre hotel next to them. The following day, the front desk was accomodating. They refunded us for the first night, and was able to check in smoothly."

"1 night stay just before Christmas - hotel staff were excellent, was expecting to pay for parking but receptionist suggested I sign up to an ‘Accor Live Limitless’ account which makes parking was free (result!). Room was a good size but one issue was the hot water in the shower. Even with the temperature turned up as hot as possible the shower water was a little tepid (it was better using the hand held shower rather than the rose in the ceiling…….but would expect better). "This place is historic, classy and beautiful. Huge bathroom, loved it. The breakfast we strongly recommend, it was absolutely fantastic. They have a chef on staff, with homemade jams, breads and pastries - along with a bunch of other things I had never had before, but were absolutely amazing. I would go for the breakfast alone. No joke, that good, that beautiful, that amazing. Beautiful location, close to everything. Definitely go for the breakfast!!! "

"Overall, an excellent experience. The La Sapiniere had a real apartment feel to it and I could easily see my family and I staying here again. The apartment is well stocked with just about everything that a guest might need to include dishes, toiletries, bedding/linens, cleaning products, and vacuum. "Great spacious 1 room apartment. All new. Clean. Very well equipped. Free coffee and tea. Own wifi. Elevator. Great bakery downstairs. Gas station nearby. Historic downtown is 15 minutes walking distance. Parking can be tricky..but free spots can be found. Watch out -main road access is a one way road. "

"We came to Trier for the Christmas market and to visit the Roman sites. The hotel was ideally placed for both. There's no restaurant but the hotel buffet breakfast was excellent and catered well for a gluten intolerance. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Parking in the underground carpark was fine if a little tight to navigate in a bigger car. The staff were excellent and helpful. They spoke perfect English but humoured our schoolboy German! All round good."

"The hotel is great value for money. Some of the rooms appear to be undergoing renovation at the moment. My room overlooked the river, with a nice view of the old Roman bridge. It's a short but interesting walk to the hauptmarkt, Karl Marx's birthplace and museum, Trier Dom, Porta Nigra, and other sights. I'd happily stay here again. "
