I requested a two bed ground floor room as there was no elevator and I can’t climb stairs. At check-in I was told that my room was on the second floor. I told them that that would be impossible. They then upgraded me to a suite and brought in a roll away bed for the second bed.

Von’s is right behind the motel, so if you check in late, that will be your healthiest option There is fast food close-by. Any of the other restaurants close by 9:00 or 10:00 pm. Or, you can wait for breakfast which opens at 5:00 am and ends at 8:00 am.

We like staying here for it's location and price. However, the hotel rents out many of their rooms to labor workers. There is NOTHING wrong with that, but there are food trucks that pull up 2or 3 times a day, blast their horns, then dozens, upon dozens of people take up the parking lot to get food. Also, the complimentary breakfast is fine, but they close it at 8am. If you are on vacation you don't want to wake up at 0700 just to make it in time for some coffee and a bagel. Other than that we still like to stay here

Even though the building needed a little TLC because of age and usage we still rate our stay as excellent. Reasonasbly priced, decent eatery right next door and convenient to the Sonny Bono Preserve which was our destination. Silly as it sounds I consider the bath towels when rating a hotel. Many have thread bare towels, but the towels here were very full and nice.

The small free breakfast was a plus. The biggest negative is that the entire first floor is permanently occupied by all the migrant farm workers, which only leaves you having to stay in an upstairs room.

Positives first-housekeeping and maintenance staff were top notch, friendly and though…. Front desk staff were “chilly”… hotel charges an addition $9/day for “misc” expenses(don’t remember the exact reasons) that is not disclosed to Expedia…there was no easy chair in the room, only a desk chair, unusual … breakfast was slim pickings after 7am
