A Piece of Paradise
We were looking for some much needed R&R and definitely found it at this wonderful little piece of paradise. Although the weather turned really cold during the time we were there, we enjoyed long walks, seeing the local deer and relaxing by the fireplace. We also discovered Julie's Place nearby to eat and enjoyed several meals there. We are definitely adding Mountain Laurel Cabin to our list of favorite places to stay when visiting western NC.

Celebrating our 37th Anniversary
We have stayed at many cabins throughout the years and this one is by far the most gorgeous peaceful location that we have ever stayed at! The cabin is beautifully decorated & nestled in the forest, with a fish pond & a nice dock to fish from. We ❤️the back screened-in porch, we ate all our meals there. We really enjoyed the horseshoe pit and the fire pit! The cabin was very clean and had everything you could need while there. We loved how well thought out the cabin was and how every inch of the cabin had been maximized to the fullest! We definitely plan to return in the future.

Relaxing getaway
We really enjoyed our stay here and wish we had stayed longer. If you’re looking to get away to peace and quiet for a few days, you will love the location. There’s plenty of room to spread out on the porches, outside at the fire pit, or fishing from the dock at the pond. Inside the cabin is well thought out to maximize space, with lots of extra touches for storage and comfort. The cabin was very clean and looks to be well taken care of. It’s a short drive to stores, restaurants, and the casino. We will definitely stay again.

Great cabin
The cabin and area are wonderful. The only drawback is the hillside is too steep for an elderly person(which we are) to go down to fish which was our reason for being there. Steps down the hillside would help.

Quiet, Peaceful, Nice Cabin
Great communication with the owner. The directions Jeannie gave lead us right to cabin. The accuracy of the listing was true. We liked the ease of keyless entry. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals. We enjoyed our meals out on the screen in deck, so relaxing. We didn’t have a chance to play horseshoe or use the fire pit. The outside area around the cabin was well maintained. We enjoyed our time down at the pond, we caught bass and bluegill. If one had problems going up steps I wouldn’t consider the cabin. But over all we definitely recommend this rental to others and rent again.

Perfect Getaway
We loved the property's location away from the city noise and replaced by the sounds of the wind and birds. The cabin was easy to access and close to everything we wanted to see. The house was comfortable and cozy. My favorite was sitting on the deck overlooking the pond. Meeting the local artists was a highlight of our trip and learning about the history of the area. The John C. Campbell Folk School is a must-see plus Rob at Smoke in the Mountain Pottery. The communication with Jeannine was easy. I highly recommend Mountain Laurel Cabin for your next vacation.
