First I’d like to say that the staff was amazing mainly a guy named Roger at the reception who helped us all the way during our stay. He was gentle , efficient , polite; a pleasure to deal with . The location of the hotel was good and made it easy to move around. You definitely need a car in this city. The property itself is not noisy , but the surrounding bars make a lot of noise and it seems nobody cares about it ; it takes time to fall asleep . The property is getting dated and needs renovation. Initially we were placed in a not very nice room , but after I discussed with front desk about the state of the room we were moved to a better room although the room’s floor was really dusty and walking bare feet was not good . The hotel apologized about the room being not satisfactory and sent us a beautiful basket with fruit and champagne which was very kind and we did appreciate it . The king suite Junior level gives you access to a private lounge where we can get the check in done, also breakfast in a more exclusive environment and some snacks and beverages during the day which was nice. I think that the staff made our stay worthwhile because the hotel was lacking.
The restaurant was good and so it was the gym , although both are not run by the hotel .
Parking was a bit of a challenge as the parking ticket did not worked properly to open the barrier to allow us to get out; although the service is offered by the hotel at a cost , it is outsourced like the gym and restaurant.
