We loved to just stare out of the top window balcony at the ocean and palm trees in the evening - it was so serene! The hosts were wonderful, always making sure we had what we needed. We ended up missing our flight to stay home and instead of getting some place right next to the airport, we decided to drive all the way back here to stay because we loved the house so much! "A l'arrivée, il est un peu difficile de trouver l'hébergement car il se situe dans une impasse et le numéro ne correspond pas (84 au lieu du 82), pas d'indication visible à l'entrée de l'impasse. J'ai appelé le propriétaire qui était là et qui nous a orientés. Bel accueil chaleureux, logement très propre et fonctionnel. Le propriétaire était également présent pour le départ, ce qui est appréciable. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au milieu de la nature, c'est très reposant. "

"We had a wonderful time at the Chalet. The area is stunning, the place itself was so welcoming and cosy while being also super practical. We felt at home! "Very nice property, the staff are very nice and friendly. The only issue was they don't assign the room according to the booking. I booked standard Seaview 1 BR apartment, they assigned handicap unit. The apartment layouts are not the same, so beware what you are booking and will be assigned. "

fantastic stay

"we were very happy in this hotel. Staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast tasty even for us - vegans/vegetarians, we especially liked the fried beans and daily potatoes in skin. Centraly located in downtown St. Denis just a few steps away from the ocean. Free drinks at the lobby were very much appreciated. Would love to come back ane day."

"The shower was good, the bed really uncomfortable, and the coffee for breakfast the worst I've had in my whole life. The person giving me that breakfast seemed annoyed that I didn't know where the breakfast area was and that I asked for milk for the coffee. The area was quiet except for the sound of someone talking most of the night."

"It’s a good location and the breakfast was excellent. It could do with a bit of tlc and if you want to use the rooftop jacuzzi, make sure you book in advance. Also worth checking what day you are going to be in Cilous as eating options are extremely limited on a Monday."

"It was a really calm place with a polite and friendly staff who was always here to helping and making sure our stay was comfortable, the restaurant and the bar has an amazing atmosphere with delicious dishes and cocktails on the menu. We will for sure recommend this place to our relatives. "

"What a delightful little find this was! The property owner is absolutely delightful and so very helpful. The room is very spacious and the surrounding areas are lovely. The actual town of Cilaos is so quaint. Really loved it. The actual hotel is quiet, safe, and clean and very centrally located. The parking is very easy and secure as the gate locks at night. Overall, really great place to spend a night or several. Cilaos is a stunning place!"
