Fantastic location and home. We absolutely loved the setting and being able to let the kids fish from dock and others to jump in the canoes and get to the ‘real’ fishing areas. We also loved the fire pit and openness of the place. Super roomy with everything you need for a great vacation.
We were blown away with our accomodations at the lodge, very clean ,warm and friendly. It met our needs to a tee. Much to do and see, canoeing ,pool, firepit and a great meeting place for our family. We had a couple of issues which were handled immediately by Michael who was an excellent host. Would go back to stay anytime. Wonderful family experience. Mike
We had a great time. The property was beautiful and the stay was more than accommodating. Everything worked great and the whole group loved it. Every person that walked in was very impressed. I definitely recommend this stay. 👍👍
This was a great place for my family to meet up with our friends. We both have large families and the lodge accommodated us very well. Everything was as advertised. The kitchen really facilitated both families with dual everything. We loved the canoes and enjoyed a lot of time canoeing around the water, fishing on the dock and campfire by the water.
We had a great stay at Red Elk Lodge! It was a beautiful, well stocked home that my whole family enjoyed. We hope to stay there again in the future. The property manager was very helpful and answered our questions very quickly. Would definitely recommend this property for a beautiful, relaxing vacation.
Red Elk Lodge was perfect for our family Christmas, complete with lit Christmas tree when we arrive. Quiet and comfortable off the beaten path location.
Perfect getaway for Christmas. Plenty of room to spend time with family. The porch is relaxing sitting in the rocking chairs enjoying the view. They have everything you need there to cook. Definitely would book there again.
Great place. Very well stocked with just about everything you could need other than food of course. Quiet setting with no interruptions. We look forward to returning again.
We stayed for 5 days at the property which was great! It was spacious and yet had place for us to come together to eat or play games! The property owner was quick to answer questions and was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again!
The property was all it was advertised to be and Michael was very attentive. We would definitely go back.

Taneycomo lake property
It was nice with plenty of room. We wish there would have been better lighting so we could see better to play games and do puzzles. The lake was scummy not appealing for swimming at all.
Great for the whole family! We had ages 11-90 in our group and everyone loved our stay here! Plenty of time spent canoeing, fishing off the dock, around the campfire, and at the LARGE dining table that fit all of us! The path down to the campfire and water is a bit challenging for the elderly but that is normal for most lake houses. We definitely appreciated and needed the 2 refrigerators! The kitchen is well stocked with supplies. Campfire chairs would be a good improvement. Beautiful view!
Exactly as pictured and described. One of the best rental properties we have ever booked both domestic and internationally. Open and spacious floor plan, comfortable beds and fantastic equipped kitchen. There was nothing we needed that wasn’t provided. Weather was the only downside but March is always unpredictable. Still enjoyed going out on deck and down to dock. We would rent this property again and highly recommend to others. Michael always responded to all my questions promptly. Thank you for a wonderful week with family!
This is a very remote location on TaneyCoMo. This was perfect for our family get away. There was plenty of room all 13 of us, ranging from 10 - 78. Couple of things to note, the steps are many to the water, and after the steps is a pretty good slope. The water is shallow in this cove, but we were able to get a deck boat in and out and saw several bass boats throughout the week.
The kitchen is very large and very well stocked. I have not been in another VRBO with a complete cabinet full of spices. Plus oil, flour and sugar. All in all we would rent it again.
The low cleanliness rating is due to the floors not being swept or mopped and the dining table not being cleaned. I communicated with the property manager about these things and he responded in a timely manner.
We had 7 people who shared the lodge, everyone loved having their own king size bed and their own bedroom. The kitchen is to died for, double ovens, double coffee pots, double refrigerators, 5 gas burners and pretty much any kitchen tools & supply's you could need. Our group are long time friends that enjoy getting together for relaxing, playing games, cooking and using minimal energy exertion- we call it the Big Chill. Unfortunately, this year was truly a Big Chill event because we lost a member right before this years event. RIP Jimmy Holley!
The dock area was pretty mossy but we still had someone who fished and caught three small fish (but he put them back). We built an amazing fire in the fire pit and enjoyed the evening listening to music and remembering those that we loved and lost. We played several games and enjoyed several meals at the large dinning area. We played pool but we had to share the only pool stick that had a felt tip. I bet Management might not be aware that the pool sticks have no felt tips. Big Chill members gives this place total thumbs up and would re-rent again in the future. Thank you, Lori (Big Chill Organizer)

Better options out there for the same price
This was our 8th year of summer business retreats and the first time I’ve had to write a negative review. The house is very well kept with a great kitchen/dining/living room area. The covered porch with rocking chairs was also a benefit. My main concern/complaint was the lack of the listing not disclosing very important things that may impact certain travelers. 1, The WiFi is very very slow, less that 1MB. You could not use more than one device and it doesn’t not allow streaming or WiFi calling. 2, There is ZERO cell phone service at the house with the AT&T network we all had. Between this and slow WiFi, we had to drive to town a few times daily to check emails and make calls. 3, The firepit had no chairs for us to sit on, had to run to town and buy 8 chairs. 4, the lake was filled with moss and algae/moss from the shore to about 30 feet out. Don’t plan to swim or get kayaks in or out very easy. 5, both coffee pots did not work as they were clogged with minerals and lime. 6, the satellite tv did not work, kept saying lost signal constantly off and on. If your not needing cell phone coverage or WiFi, this may be your place to stay. Unfortunately we missed deadlines and were majorly inconvienced by the lack of connectivity at the house. The owner was texted with all these issues and really didn’t even try to make it right. I would have thought a partial refund would be issued due to all concerns, but was not even offered.
This huge cabin was great; it had plenty of room and space that was perfect for all being together and yet if you needed space, you could find someplace to go. The huge kitchen, double fridge/freezers, electric oven and gas stovetop/oven made it convenient for us to cook meals; and the huge dining table allowed us to eat together. The wrap around porch with grill, pool table and rocking chairs made it a fun place to hangout. We enjoyed the huge fire pit several evenings down near the shoreline. We would highly recommend this place and would definitely book it again in the future.in the the evenings.
The lodge was amazing. Everyone said this was their favorite place we have stayed in. We have been coming to Branson for 8 yrs for vacation. Kitchen was perfect for cooking for a large group. We had 17. Our only complaint would be the lake was very dirty and mossy. The kids could not get in and swim. The mosquitoes were very bad. We bought spray to spray on patio and dwn at the deck. Of course not the owners fault. Just that time of year! We hope to stay again!
