Arrived just before check-in closing at 2000 hours and almost drove on to Townsville as nothing was open, all lights were off and no obvious check-in desk.
Drove around the cabin/caravan park loop and a bloke came out with a torch. Took me to hotel to check-in (all closed and locked up) then when I went to my cabin it had unmade beds etc. Had to go find him again and get another cabin. Wotif indicated only two available but nearly all were empty.
Cabin itself okay, but old and bit rundown. Hot shower and bed pretty comfy. Not the way to end a nine hour drive...
Was a little difficult to find but cabins were nice. Bathroom could have done with a good clean and empty toilet roll changed but other than that it was fairly clean. Would stay again.
Would not recommend - old, overpriced & unserviced
Bedding not as described (2 less beds) & room not serviced for our entire stay of 4 nights. I requested on 2nd day & was told it would be done the next day. When it wasn't done, I requested again & was told that they don't clean on Sundays & on Monday we were given 2 new towels (family of 5) - no vacuum, no dish washing detergent etc. Very disappointing for $130 per night!!! Very basic & tired cabins & overpriced. Better accomm available in Ayr for same price & definitely would not recommend to others.

Handy for a night over
Great for a stopover. Hotel has great meals. Value for money.
Nice, neat and tidy. Very clean rooms. Great value
Great value for money Nice and clean rooms. A little dated but still excellent for the price. Will defiantly stay again. Was a great place to stay while at the Burdekin Junior Eisteddfod

Quiet location, clean and tidy.
Quiet location, clean and tidy. Only issue was the A/C struggle to cool the room due to the heat outside. No fans and only 1 A/C. No pool area but otherwise a food place for overnight accommodation. Comfortable beds and lounge area. Spacious and good sized. Worth staying at again if driving through again.
I accidentally booked this hotel thinking it was in Townsville only to find out it is an hour south in Brandon and I'm glad it happened.
The hotel is very clean and quiet, it really shows that the owners take great pride in this place as the pub which is also part of the hotel was also very clean and well kept. The food is typical pub food but priced very well ($17 snitzel) and tasted great.
The rooms are a good size with plenty of privacy. Did I mention clean? probably the cleanest hotel I've stayed at.
If given the choice of staying in Townsville or being forced to drive an extra hour to stay at Hotel Brandon, Hotel Brandon would win hands-down.
Lovely staff who were very helpful. Meal purchased from hotel was great and reasonably priced. You could also take it back to your unit. The units were clean and roomy.
