"We were not given the right type of room. Different from search to reservation to actual room. Promotes fireplaces in the photos, but not in all rooms. The room looked clean, but it did not look well maintained. Certainly not “romantic” as the room name or photos promoted. The photos in Expedia were MUCH nicer than the real room. They were not helpful to get a refund. Very poor service. Not thrilled with Expedia in using our cancelation insurance either. Up to use to fight with the insurance...

"Quaint place to stay , full of character , friendly hosts ; felt like home. Will be back. It's not for those who like all the modern conveniences; if you like a real New England feel in an older well kept home with friendly people in the beautiful state of Vermont this is for you !"

"Very nice owner and staff. Bar/dining area cozy. Generous breakfast potions."

"Fantastic place, wish we had been able to stay longer!!"

"Spacious updated rooms. LOVE the vinyl vs. carpeted floors in the rooms, much cleaner. Breakfast needs more healthy options... low fat or fat free yogurts/milk, lower sugar options, eggs. Overall, a great overnight stay."

"The lodge was perfect for what we wanted, with all the amenities we could’ve ever asked for. This was one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had at any inn, the breakfast potatoes and pancakes especially. The owners clearly put so much thought into giving their guests options to make their visit there either an active grab and go or a stay-in and relax day."

"Stayed at Greenbrier for a quick overnight. Did not use any amenities, or eat breakfast. Room was comfortable, a little dusty on surfaces and behind the headboard (I have asthma). Bed was comfortable and property was quiet. Would stay again."
