This is the Holiday Express at The Little River Railroad, in Coldwater MI. It has daily train rides as well as special occasion and holiday rides. They have a Christmas ride with Santa on board and a Halloween haunted ride that includes a pumpkin to name a couple. The ride we took was complete with a visit to Mr. and Mrs. Clause, it was a lot of fun and the kids loved it! "Had an absolute great time. The property is very beautiful. Cabin is really cozy, however the bed situation needs some work. The bed in the basement is in a room in the basement with nothing in the room beside a bed and old basement smell. All the mattresses in the cabin are in extremely rough shape. Not a good sleeping experience. Lots of rules about where you can and can't go, put a vehicle, if you mess up a bed but don't sleep in it incurs fees, you have to bring your own firewood. Etc. just...

"My wife wanted a winter cabin escape to celebrate her birthday, and this was the perfect spot! Nothing beat waking up in the morning with a fresh cup of coffee and watching the snow fall on the lake. There were plenty of things to do, our children (7 & 5) had a great time as well as my parents, who joined us to celebrate. We'd love to return both in the summer and again in the winter!"

"It was as expected for a CABIN. Updated bath was a plus. Usable kitchen although water pressure in the kitchen sink was minimal. Interior was clean and nicely furnished, steep irregular concrete walkways w/no handrails (no lights either) could prove problematic for Seniors w/mobility issues a/cawas nice (3rd week of July)"

"A very cute and cosy log cabin on the shores of Shipshewana Lake. We celebrated 2 - 70th birthdays and 1 - 50 year anniversary this weekend and enjoyed the cosy ‘feel’ of the cabin whenever we were there. Enjoyed the Lights of Joy drive thru. Beautiful. "

"Adorable little place steps from the water. Enjoyed our 2 night stay here while we attended the PBR at the MEC center. Was afraid the traffic would be bad, as it coincided with the lighting of the Christmas lights, but we left before they blocked off the main drag & sailed right thru. We spent probably an hour just looking at all the Knick knacks & whatnot, reliving our memories. Tastefully decorated! We could relate to most of the stuff there. "The cabin worked for a home base for us, but it was not what was pictured...not even close!! outside was nothing like the picture, cabin looked older. Upon arrival, kitchen sink was dirty, stove had obviously had something hot spilled on knobs that were melted and grimy, stove had no propane, we had to switch the tank over (they did refill it), they provide the charchoal grill as listed, but no utensils.
