Welcome to our luxurious 10-bedroom, 6.5-bath Lakefront retreat that comfortably sleeps 40 guests. This magnificent mansion is packed with subtle custom features, ensuring a truly unforgettable stay.

As you enter, you'll be greeted by the grandeur of the main floor. The expansive master suite boasts a king-sized bed and a lavish bathroom complete with a jacuzzi, urinal, and separate closets. Enjoy breathtaking views of the poolside and main lake deck from the master bedroom's writing table, perfect for witnessing glorious AM sunrises.

The main floor also features an inviting great room with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and a wet bar, all overlooking the picturesque lakeside windows. The custom culinary kitchen is a chef's dream, equipped with top-of-the-line appliances including a gas cooktop, microwave, wall oven with a warming drawer, and a Bunn commercial coffee station. The kitchen opens up to the dining room and great room, offering wide views of the main lake. A convenient half bath powder room and a laundry room with front load washer and dryer complete the main floor.

Step outside to the lakeside decks, where you can relax and take in the stunning views of the lake, double boathouse, sun deck, heated pool, and pavilion area.

On the second floor, you'll find two master suites with incredible sunrise and sunset vistas, along with two additional sleeping rooms featuring double queen beds. The game room is equipped with solid wood cabinetry, granite tops, a wet bar, and original Limited Edition Brunswick pool and foosball tables.

The lower level is perfect for entertainment and relaxation. It features a full wet bar with a commercial ice machine, a Viking refrigerator, a full bath, an air hockey table, ping pong table, poker tables, and an incredible theater room with a wide 125" screen and luxury reclining sofas. The lakeside deck on this level offers a covered gas fire pit and a hot tub, perfect for cooler evenings.

This exceptional home also includes two laundry rooms, hardwood floors throughout the main house, ceramic tile flooring in the basement for durability, and LED TVs on each floor. Outside, you'll find a circle drive providing ample space for all guests.

An amazing getaway!!!

Great weekend away with Family and Friends
The property was great for 3 families together and the convenience to RDU is unmatched. We rented a boat and added in the Chef experience which made this place a great getaway! I do recommend the owners put a good cleaning inside and out on the house shortly. Nothing terrible, but it would be a huge benefit.

We loved this house - our entire group had so much space with 3 kitchens, the double decker dock and the 10 bedrooms. The pictures do not do the house justice - much more spacious than shown. Irvin was very helpful throughout our stay - we even extended a night because we didn’t want to leave. Can’t wait to return!!

This house is fantastic - plenty of beds for our group of 26, kitchen appliances are high end and well stocked with pots/pans/utensils/plates etc. Tony was very responsive to any questions or needs that arose. Everyone loved the fireplace/main family room and the game room upstairs. Would definitely come back and rent this great house again.

Lovely home with tons of space and everything we needed
The home and view are absolutely lovely!! The house had everything we needed (and more) to keep our group of 18 entertained all day long. Our goal was to spend time together and the large open spaces made that easy to do on the dock, at the pool, and at the extra large kitchen table. All of our concerns were immediately taken care of by the maintenance crew. Would love to go back!!!

Excellent Property!! Just know the heated pool isnt free:)
We had a fabulous time. The accommodations were phenomenal. I would definitely recommend and stay again!! BUT.....I recieved a text from the property manager saying I would be charged $600 for turning the heater on on the pool. Thankfully, the pool heater had a lock on it so I wouldn't have been able to turn it on. They sent a pool guy out to confirm and discovered the sensor sent a false alarm. My concern was, it advertised heated pool as a selling point. Nothing in the description said it was $600 extra. I would suggest updating the description so that guests are aware or including it in the cost. Again, definitely 5 stars on the accommodations!

Great stay for our group
Loved it. Minor inconvienve with fire alarms all going off for no reason but mantinence and communication was timely. Master bath had a leak that was prexisting but also addressed buy maintenance. We all still had a great time on the lake and in the home. Plenty of meals cooked and tons of space for everyone.

We were excited for a weekend away! We had a great visit! Lots to do all the time! Thank you! I gave a three stars for our check in because we weren’t given our check in code until 10 minutes after check in. I had messaged prior to arriving and have never had my check in information sent so late before with VRBO.

Family getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! House is huge ! We only had a group of 7 so it was more than roomy enough. The view is spectacular!! Everything in the home was very convenient. Great outdoor setting for large group to dine with the grill right there. Everyone enjoyed the pool and slide. The game areas were also a lot of fun. Kitchen was a great size also. We would definitely go back. We had a few glitches which were quickly handled by Tony.

Phenomenal house! Perfect for our Women's Retreat!
Over 40 women from our church spent the weekend at Portside. There was plenty of room for everyone! We spent most of our time in the main living area, and had two long tables set up for eating and meeting space. Everyone raved about the kitchen and there was more than enough room to have several helping with meals at the same time. The extra oven up in the fourth floor was so helpful for the times we needed it, as well as the extra refrigerators. There wasn't one thing amiss and we had everything we needed for a wonderful Retreat weekend. The weather was perfect, and the lake views and early signs of Spring were beautiful. We will be back! Many thanks to Tony for his kindness in answering all our questions beforehand! We were so blessed to be able to stay at Portside!

What a Waste or Good Potential
House itself is large and set up decently. Upon arriving, we thought for a minute that they forgot to send the cleaning crew until we noticed that there clearly was some cleaning, just far from adequate. There were dead bugs all over and dust commonplace. Forget about the back area, which was clearly untouched since the winter and full of cobwebs and dust. The worst was that after a 7 hour drive, we were quite eager to get into bed, but most of the beds were covered in a layer of dust. We had to sit there and wash all the linen ourselves and ended up seeing sunrise before we could go to bed. (Side note: we were charged hundreds for cleaning and linen fee, of which we were not refunded even a penny of.) Now to top it all off, we woke up the next morning to discover that the internet didn’t work. This is after we specifically told the manager that we needed to be able to work remotely. 6 days later they sent a tech who claimed to find the problem and fix it, and it started working enough to send an email, but not even a picture. And the worst of all was the excuses and the ignoring me after I tried to reach him to resolve the issues. What a waste of a nice property.

We booked this home month's in advance for our Mom's 85th Birthday long weekend, 17 guests in total. The home is well situated and very roomy but has a long list of shortcomings and is hardly an "Executive Mansion". States 11 bedrooms but only five are real bedrooms with toilets and doors, others are open or closet areas in the home that beds were put in without privacy and a walk down the hall to use the bathroom. While many of these are nuisances, added together they created for a very disappointing stay: 3 electric outlets in the kitchen didn't work, dishwasher was full of dirty dishes when we arrived and didn't clean dishes when run, dirty dishes and utensils put away in the cabinets and drawers, ants and other dead bugs in cabinets, no kitchen towels, no sponges to wash dishes, no trash bags, no laundry detergent, everyone had to make their own bed on the first night because sheets weren't put on beds, kitchen utensils, pots, pans were a huge and disorganized mess in the drawers, cable tv in first floor bedroom didn't work and light bulbs were blown out in the bathroom so unless the door was left open you couldn't use it , HOT TUB WAS BROKEN!!!, many light bulbs out throughout the house (4 of 5 out in the chandelier above the breakfast table) and the home didn't have a corkscrew to open wine to pacify our misery!!! The owner's family were at a wedding and left no alternative point of contact so NONE of these issues could be fixed until Monday when we were leaving. All issue emails were answered with a sarcastic "Hope you're enjoying your stay"! Final issue was not minor and that is that I had asked the owner for months whether we could have an early check in for 85 Yo mom who would be getting to the area early. I was told that it depended on availability and wouldn't be known until just before check in...reasonable. When I inquired again the week of our arrival, I was told yes you can check in early but we charge an extra $200 for that and NEVER mentioned prior...a truly slimy response. Many other very nice options on the lake, look elsewhere. Thanks a lot, Irwin!

Just as advertised!
Don’t hesitate if you are considering booking this property. It is beautiful, exactly like the pictures. We had my small wedding on a beautiful dock overlooking a scenic lake. It was perfect! I would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake a little more but the hot tub was a good conciliation! TV and wifi worked as advertised. Our only issue is that we could not get the surround sound to work but we brought our own speakers so that helped. Communication with the property manager Tony was also great! He was immediately reachable and very accommodating to us.

Great Home for Large Family Getaway!
The executive mansion was a great place to stay. The kitchen is great, the theater room is awesome, and the game rooms and outside amenities provided everything we needed for fun family interactions. The only down side was that the description didn’t make clear that the rooms with three queen beds actually have two queens and a sofa bed.

Highly recommend this property
I had 31 people at this property...everyone was SO comfortable! Plenty of space for everyone, lots to do, very clean, completely stocked, gorgeous view and amenities. Bedding was very clean and comfortable and towels provided for all. The host was incredible...always responded to me immediately. Just a few suggestions...tv's were older and either not compatible or not working so I recommend they be upgraded to Smart TV's, several kayaks were in desperate need of repair or should be discarded. Also, the upper deck above the dock seems slightly unstable. Master bath jacuzzi tub was inoperable. Regardless, I HIGHLY recommend this property!! It was AMAZING and we would all definitely stay there again!!

Unfortunately, a hurricane was looming over us and we lost power for the approximately 18hrs.
Eventhough we had no lights for approximately 18hrs we had an awesome time. The house is just as amazing as it looks on the website

Huge Home, Great Lake
We were a group of 25. 13 adults 12 kids. 6 family neighbor trip. The home is enormous and was very spacious. Check in was easy and the house was ready for guests. The property manager, Tony, was easy to communicate with and when we had an exterior lightning issue, Freddy responded promptly and helped resolve the issue. We hired Chef Christian for two nights and he was amazing. He set up everything on his own, without any assistance. Just stay out of his way and let him work. Great meals and a good guy. We rented the pontoon, which was great and I think it’s a must. Not too much in the town areas, but we knew that coming in. Lake, dock, toys, theater, pool, balconies and the grills were a hit. Ice maker was very useful. Some minor issues with the home (light bulbs, a couple breakers turned off, some dust bunnies), but honestly the house is so huge and the fact that it’s constantly being rented I really think it would be impossible to be perfect. Any issue I had was addressed right away. Overall the space is great and the location on the water was wonderful. I recommend
