"We already booked a return trip - doesn't that kind of say it all?!Had a yoga retreat with 13 of us at this house and is the best! The layout is excellent. The house is well appointed. It had everything we needed.Being only a little over an hour away from Raleigh you would think it wouldn't feel like another world away, but it was quiet and serene and everything we could have asked for in a place.Edie is a gracious and very communicative hostess and, though we didn't need anything from her, was at the ready to help if we had. Lots of games and activities to keep busy too. We took the kayaks and a paddleboard out when the weather was nice enough to do so. We wanted to enjoy the fire pit but was the night before we left and just didn't have it in us - we did spend some time relaxing in thr Adirondack chairs down there during the day though.It really is a lovely, well designed, well suited home for a large group with all the conveniences and comfort to boot (even the beds were amazingly comfortable!). As mentioned before, we already have plans to return!"

"The hotel was nice but a little dated. Rooms were a good size. Breakfast buffet was clean with a nice variety of choices. Walking distance to some excellent restaurants and McDonald's as well as the main street in town. Over all it was a very nice experience. "

"This is the perfect lake property. The log cabin is stunning and the views are lovely. There are so many sitting options and so many places to cast a line. Boat ramp is super close and easily accessible which was wonderful in allowing us to keep our boat tied up in the dock. Upstairs sun deck was a perfect place to sit back, enjoy a beverage and enjoy the view. "
