Top Rated Charming MT Cabin w Hot Tub, 10min Dwtn, MSU, 1hr Big Sky/Yellowstone

Wonderful. Charming. Cozy. Hard to leave. These are the words our guests use to describe us. Nestled in the forest just one exit off of Main Street, Bear Creek Log Cabin is truly a hidden gem offering the real Montana experience for those looking for the BEST of ALL worlds: Proximity to town and MSU (10 min), ski resorts (45min), close to Yellowstone and Big Sky, surrounded by nature, wildlife, unpolluted views of the milky way and shooting stars right from the comforts of the hot tub while listening to the relaxing rushing waters of the creek a few steps away. Come unwind in our luxurious cabin. Our guests often extend their stays and wish they could stay longer!

Under new ownership and completely restored, this charming 2 bedroom, 2 full bath, 1500 square foot Rocky Mountain Trapper Style Bear Creek Log Cabin was constructed 30 years ago with lodge pole pine trees harvested from this 10 acre property bordering Bear Creek & State Forest land and with a running creek known to have Brown & Rainbow Trout in the deeper pools. Often you will see moose, white tail deer, elk, and once in a while black bears. They especially like to feast on the berry bushes that are scattered throughout the property. My Favorite Cabin in Montana
This was my fifth stay in this cabin. I love how it is situated in the woods in the mountains but close enough to Bozeman for restaurants and groceries. We use it as our base camp for Yellowstone.

GREAT location, wonderful cabin, just what we needed for the week.
The owners were very responsive to our questions, easy to work with and simply great. The cabin leaves you feeling like you have the woods to yourself but is close enough to run to town for ice cream anytime you want. Great hiking/biking trails nearby, well stocked kitchen and a wonderful getaway.

Had a great time. Only issues we had were there were a few mice that got into some of our food. There was also something bigger scratching/crawling around inside the walls upstairs. Overall we had a great time.

Bear Canyon Cabin
This place is one of the best VRBO stays we have had yet. The cabin is located away from town just far enough for peace and quiet yet close enough to access all the local amenities. The cabin itself is rustic and beautiful. Using the wood stove as the main heating, opposed to the baseboards, reminded me of my childhood. Definitely will have this property on the short list when we visit the Bozeman area in the future. Thanks for an amazing stay.

Great weekend trip. Arrived Friday and left Tuesday morning. Property was clean and inviting. Had all the home amenities I was expecting. You can tell that owners go to great effort to make the place a great stay. 30 minutes from Bridger Bowl Ski Resort. My kids loved the hot tub. Will likely book again.

Wonderful Family Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the cabin. We sat by a warm wood fire watching the snow fall. Every evening we sat in the hot tub either watching the stars or enjoying the snow flakes. It was only a short walk to hiking trails which were beautiful in the snow. You feel like you are out in the woods, but only a few minutes outside of downtown Bozeman. We hope to go back!

We very much enjoyed our 4 day quiet getaway! The house was absolutely adorable and perfect for our needs. We wanted something that was secluded and had a mountain feel. 2 beds and 2 bath (1 king and 2 queens) upstairs and a very well stocked kitchen to make our our food. The hot tub was amazing and we enjoyed every second of our stay. We say wildlife galore and easy drives into town to explore. Brian and Liz were very welcoming and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone! We absolutely will stay here again!

Cozy winter getaway
Cabin and hosts are top notch; We visited in the winter with a storm, 4x4 highly recommended to access the cabin in the winter. Adult family of 5 ages 50-18 all piled in the hot tub, played games with ample firewood & boy scout juice provided (Brian came over and showed us the ins and outs of the wood burning stove). Great location for day trips to Bear Canyon and Hyalite Canyon and dinners in Bozeman just a few minutes away. Clean and quaint, tasteful Christmas decorations; looking forward to coming back in the summer and cooking some ribeyes on the outdoor fire pit

Great location. Good size of property. Lots of nature. Cabin is going to be very popular.
I love that it had hills but wasn't too hilly. Perfect for sledding in the winter. Cabin supplies made doing normal cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc painless. I almost don't want to leave a good review because it'll be too popular to reserve in the future. Super cool place. *****

Gorgeous log cabin just outside Bozeman
I can't say enough about how wonderful this experience was. The cabin is charming and well appointed with anything and everything you need. The hot tub was wonderful and the patio was perfect for morning coffee and grilling out in the evening. Liz and Brian, the owners are gracious hosts. It was our 30th anniversary and they had left us a bouquet of flowers and a sweet note welcoming us for the weekend. This is just an amazing find. We will come again!

Mountain Retreat
This was our first trip to Montana and the cabin was cozy and comfortable. Surrounded by big pines and temperatures were perfect. Cabin was stocked with everything you would need and the owners go above and beyond with little extra touches. Since they are on the property any problems are quickly resolved. Liz was always asking if we needed anything. Centrally located with easy access to I-90 and downtown Bozeman and the attractions surrounding the city. About 1-1/2 to 2 hours drive to either the west or north entrance of Yellowstone.

Perfect Bozeman cabin
This is the best place to stay if you want to combine the comforts of home with the great outdoors. There are lots of good things to say about the cabin, but I think it’s the property that really makes it special. It’s close to town yet forested, with a creek running along the large parcel. The yard features an excellent hot tub we used twice a day, a fire pit we roasted marshmallows at most nights, and a large well functioning grill we used for most meals. The review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Brian and Liz. They were very welcoming and helpful, and they looked after everything.

Thoroughly Enjoyed Our Stay!
My extended family traveled from all over the U.S. to gather in Bozeman to remember my father (who grew up nearby) and reconnect with one another. My part of the group consisted of my spouse and I, one adult daughter, one teen, and a 10 year old. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bear Creek Log Cabin. A couple of cousins dropped by, and my kids and the cousins especially enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and grilling, and visiting the creek. The area is quiet and relatively secluded, and definitely has the mountain "vibe" while also being super-convenient to Bozeman. Despite the bear theme, we didn't see any bear, but we did see a fox, a wild turkey hen, numerous deer, birds and other wildlife. Communication with the hosts was excellent, the place was clean and well taken care of, and although we noticed the slightly slanted foundation that was referenced in the description, it was no problem for us at all, and all around we just had an amazing time. Would most definitely stay here again.

Wonderful!
My husband and I stayed at Bear Creek cabin to celebrate a white Christmas with our son who attends MSU. This is our second time staying at this great cabin but the first time with the new owners, Brian and Liz. They are outstanding hosts! We got in about 8 pm (and zero degrees) to a fire already burning in the wood stove and the cabin nice and cozy. Then to top it off, Liz came down (they live in a house up the driveway from the cabin) to welcome us and gave us a Christmas present! They had also cut us a Christmas tree and provided ornaments to decorate it with. Wow! We found the cabin just as wonderful as our first time there. We love the location - beautiful and quiet but still close to town - and love the character of the cabin. Who wants to come to Montana and stay in a sterile hotel?! The wood stove keeps it cozy (the cabin also has baseboard heaters), wifi works great, and the washer and dryer come in handy. We will be back!

Wonderful in every way!
Our family booked this property over the Christmas 2022 holiday, but our arrival was delayed due to wide-spread flight cancelations in the midst of the winter blizzard. When we finally arrived after having slept overnight at Chicago O'Hare Airport, I can't tell you how wonderful it was to walk into this cozy log cabin to fresh baked cookies on the table and the inviting warmth of a log burning stove. The cabin was everything we'd hoped for and more, we enjoyed every moment, from sledding down the hill out back to relaxing in the hot tub, and watching Christmas movies together. We had visits from the local wildlife, who seemed as much at home there as we felt. Although we never saw our hosts, they were very responsive and always made sure that we had everything we needed. At one point, we found a single sled outside and began taking turns sledding down the hill. Not more than a few hours later, a car quietly pulled up and a young man jumped out to deliver two more sleds by the door. It was the nicest thing, they didn't wish to intrude on our vacation, they simply saw an opportunity to enhance it and took action. It was all the little touches like that, coupled with the beauty of the location and the obvious love the hosts have for this property that made it truly wonderful in every way. Well Done!
