"A delightful one-night stop en route to the Alps. The place is a short drive from the A31 through the countryside and we were lucky to enjoy delicious dinner from the visiting pizza truck. A good atmosphere with locals coming to enjoy a few beers in the cellar. The loft room had more than enough space for our family of 4 plus dog, the beds were comfy and the breakfast was just what we needed before hitting the road again. "

"Unquestionably an unusual place. (Unfortunately, pics on internet seem to be outdated by 10 years. Garden is surrounded by high bushes and trees by now and appears a bit gloomy). Rooms are decorated according to specific themes (ours was “African Safari”, neighbor’s was something about Asia with lots of bamboo - both with canopy beds and pink mosquito screens). If interesting at some point – and probably a curiosity worth seeing then – the concept seems to have hived off. One cannot fight...

"I thought we were on for some Indian cuisine on news year's eve, but when we arrived the restaurant was closed, they did offer us a meal down the road where they had large event on for 160 euros, which we declined. It then become odd...we wanted to go out to eat, they asked when we would return...we said we did not know could we have a key, no key are allowed they said...be back by eight as we have an important event tonight! I was then told to leave by a certain door by the man in charge....

"We stayed for a week at this great home. The pool is great, the house is very clean with everything you need available. There is enough for kids to see and do. The owners and their children are very nice and helpful. We enjoyed every single moment of our stay. The area is beautiful and there are some nice towns within 30m drive. We highly recommend this place."

"A beautiful old building in a pleasant, quiet neighbourhood. The stairs to my room were a minor challenge; steep and narrow. Anyone with even modest mobility or strength issues would have a very hard time getting their luggage (and perhaps even themselves) up and down. My room itself was elegant and spacious. The dining room is tasteful although I found the canned piano music that plays in the evening a little insipid. The breakfast was lovely. The hostess was very agreeable. I would happily...

"Domaine Gille offers good rooms with all the comfort you need. Nice hosts, good and quiet rooms, parking space, airco, fine breakfast. We stayed here with our children in the family room, and we were very pleased. Price/quality was exceptionally good."

"We wondered whether we had the right place when we arrived at the gates, but Richard had sent us the entry code by text. After that it was ‘Wow’ - this a great place to spend a few days in Beaune. Accommodation is spacious, comfortable, and remarkable quiet for an in town location. Breakfast was a very nice and traditionallly French. Richard’s wife played her piano in the next room during breakfast one morning - which was a delight for us! We left our car in the courtyard and walked into...

"It’s not that our experience was terrible, it just wasn’t what we expected. We paid for two lovely rooms at the Inn - we arrived to learn that we were moved to a villa 3 -4 kilometers away from the Inn and town. We had our own place - but no interaction with other travelers or breakfast or coffee. It was nice, but not the experience we were paying for. The host is lovely - I’m guessing someone over-booked and he was trying to accommodate everyone."

"We had a very nice three night stay with Maryse. The only thing potential lodgers need to know is that every morning at the nice breakfast we were introduced to return guests, some of whom had brought friends along. Les Demoiselles is named after Maryse's daughters and there is such a feeling of comfort and family. The rooms are downstairs,facing greenery and the pool, away from the road that goes thru town and quiet. She has a nice shop that sells local items and has a good selection of wines....
