This enchanting Creekside Craftsman Cabin on forested acreage, just west of downtown Boulder, is perfect for the family or groups looking to visit Boulder and experience all it has to offer. Don't go all the way to the Rockies and stay out in the Flats. Enjoy the feel of being in the Rockies while having easy, quick access to all that Boulder has to offer.

This custom built home is finely furnished and features oak, granite, flagstone, porcelain, tumbled marble, hand hewn hardware and custom woodwork finishes throughout. It has 4 Bedrooms, an office loft, casual, formal & outdoor dining, a game room and 4 spacious & scenic decks. This house is ideally suited to enjoying the Colorado lifestyle and is perfect for family reunions and entertaining guests.

Sun pours over this Alpine home in the pines while the views of the back of the Flatirons, Green and Sugarloaf Mountains and the meandering Creek are spectacular. Hiking out the back door and Boulders favorite bike rides are out the front door. Stay among the pines and poplars on creek frontage and experience the rocky mountain lifestyle at its best. Fly fish at the confluence of Boulder Creek all short walk from your door. Climb at the famous Elephant Buttress area or kayak down Boulder Creek all this only 4 minutes to downtown, Pearl Street & CU and 22 minutes to skiing on the slopes at Eldora. This historic towns of Salina and Gold Hill are a short drive or healthy ride up the road.

The street level has an entry foyer/mud room, game room with Foosball, HD home theater & bar w/ wine chiller. There is also a 1 car garage & 1 car carport (additional parking on property for as many guest as you may have). There are mountain bikes for your use in the garage and plenty of room for all your gear weather you are here for winter or summer fun.

The main floor features a culinary equipped kitchen with Bosch, Dacor and GE profile appliances as well as many great entertaining features like the professional beer taps and a spacious open floorplan. The dining room & living area have spectacular views, professional home theater electronics, a 60” flat screen and an Extrodinair Arizona chocolate flagstone fireplace. There is a spacious deck off the great room facing south with spectacular views of the creek and mountains. Off the kitchen is a redwood BBQ dining deck with a plumbed gas BBQ, grass yard and a certified playground installation.

The top floor features well outfitted scenic office & a master suite with over-sized tub, a huge double shower, a walk-in closet. The master bedroom opens onto a massive Brazilian Ipe hardwood very private deck with breathtaking views from the 8 person therapeutic hot tub. The deck has satellite digital audio plumbed in to enhance the dining and entertaining experience.

Incredible Mountain Home
We absolutely loved Larry’s place in Boulder Mountains! Everything was as advertised and even better! The home slept 7 of us perfectly and everyone was comfortable. The setting, streams, hiking and short distance to downtown Boulder for our daughter’s graduation was ideal! We would love to stay here again!

We never received check in info until we got a hold of the housekeeper. Towels were stained hanging on towel bars. Bugs everywhere they even climbed up on the beds. We left a day early because it wasn’t great. The decks are great, it’s close to town, and they had ample towels/linens and kitchen was well stocked. They also had extra tissue, paper toweling & toilet paper. The carpeting & rugs need commercial cleaning.

A beautiful location for spending time in Boulder and the beautiful mountains and hiking trails! The house is large, fun and funky. The best activities are just sitting on the patio to enjoy the view or hiking right out the door.

Concert weekend in boulder
We had an amazing stay at Boulderhaus. Larry couldn’t have been better to work with the whole stay. The place is special. Awesome mountain house but super close to downtown. We stayed during dead and company final tour weekend and couldn’t have had a better time here. Would recommend this place over staying anywhere in the city.

Excellent location !!! Great house!
Great house with tons of space for our family of 4 just minutes from downtown Boulder. We enjoyed being remote in the woods (we loved watching the rabbits, chipmunks, birds) and being in nature and at the same time being able to easily go into town or get on a trail. Great communication with the host.

We had a great time staying here! Manager was fantastic! Loved the different patios and decks. Loved all the flowers and especially the hummingbird feeders. Close to Boulder but far enough away to feel you are in the mountains. There are lots of steps but loved logging them in on my phone. We would definitely stay here again!

Family Fun!
It was very family-friendly and used by ALL of us ages 2-66! The kids loved seeing the wildlife, nice to have all the rooms/decks to spread out our crew of 8! Loved the hot tub and the seclusion also. Highly recommended to everyone!

Great location. 10 min to wonderful shops snd restaurants. 30 min to skiing.
We enjoyed our stay at Boulder Hauss. The location is perfect for quiet night to see the stars while close enough for dinner in Boulder. The owner, Larry, was great to work with and responsed quickly to a minor request that we had. Only slight negative is that furniture and bedding are outdated. Although the hot tub is brand new.

We came up here to mountain bike and found that the house was perfect in regards to the location . It was nice being so close to Boulder and yet feeling the relative solitude of the mountains. The Jacuzzi was a big bonus. The kitchen, living and dining room were perfect for hanging out after our rides. Having parking as well as garage space allowed easy storage for the bikes as well as on and off loading our gear. We had a great time and it slept the five of us comfortably.

Beautiful, convenient location just outside of downtown Boulder. We had a wonderful vacation in this home. The home needs some standard maintenance and modern upgrades. Attention to detail was lacking (for example: broken kitchen cabinet door and broken master bedroom screen door) and attributed to the slightly lower review.

Great location in the mountains yet close to city
This home is nestled right into the mountains yet really close to Boulder and Pearl St. It is a nice home that is pretty well taken care of. We questioned the cleaning crew upon arrival because they left the heat down really low so we were popsicles until the house heated up which took a while. Luckily they provided a lot of warm blankets. Overall it was a fun relaxing stay and a comfortable property.

Excellent Mountain Location
This property worked great for a long weekend in the mountains. Location is excellent-in the mountians but also close to Boulder/Pearl Street/Ned. You can do a little bit of city stuff (shopping restauranrts/bars) and a little bit of mountain adventures (hiking/nature/Ned). You will defintiely want an all wheel drive vehicle if staying here during the snowy months of Colorado. The openness of the living space was also very nice for the size of our group. There were seven adults in our group and the property never felt crowded.

The property was as described, we did have to take care with the small children and stairs, same as anywhere. Property was beautiful, clean, and the space suited our needs. As others have mentioned, the dishwasher didn't completely clean, we just pre-rinsed and checked before using. But otherwise, a great stay and we enjoyed the beautiful home.

Our temporary mountain home
This house was perfect for the 4 of us. We each had our own room and two bathrooms worked out fine. The location made for an easy trip into downtown Boulder but far enough out of town for beautiful night skies from the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked although we mostly ate out. The house was clean but carpets and some of the upholstered furniture seemed a bit stained and in need of maintenance and some of the rooms could have used a fresh coat of paint. This was just superficial wear and tear and certainly didn’t affect our comfort. The hot tub was well maintained. We could have used some additional heavy blankets in each bedroom since it was very cold at night. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I would recommend this home to friends.

Boulderhaus Stay
I want to be fair in this review so I'll start with the pros. Great location. Close to town yet in nature. Property Mgr was quick to respond the few times we had an issue. Cons: Some of the furnishings are run down. We had our adult children and spouse with us. Most needed to do some online work each morning. At 9 a.m. each day the internet slows so much it is not usable. It was that way for several hours. We couldn't tell if the dishes in the cupboards were clean. They were spotted and crusty. We scrubbed what we needed for our stay. Used towels were hanging on the back of a bedroom door. In summary, if I were staying with a bunch of old college buddies for a weekend this would probably be great. But our family would not return.

Treehouse Views
Boulderhaus is a great spot, easily accessible from downtown Boulder. We have been traveling to Boulder a lot over the last four years and this is the first time we have stayed outside of the city proper. We had originally rented for Thanksgiving weekend last year but my husband needed emergency surgery, forcing us to cancel our stay just days before our rental began. Larry kindly allowed us to change our dates. We are thrilled to be here in time for the Boulder Film Festival while relishing this quiet retreat among the trees during down hours. My husband has been working from the third floor desk which is the equivalent of a nice tree house. If you need to relax while being productive, this is the place to do it. Many of the reviews note the number of stairs which made me slightly concerned about what we would find. I had to laugh when I actually saw them. Yes, there are stairs as this is a multi-level house and you enter on the ground level. To the right and outside of the house, there are stone steps to two lovely patio areas and the hottub. To the left of the house, there are also stairs that could be hazardous to some but there is absolutely no need to take them. Access is easy without going close to the road. The house is well -equipped for any type of cooking you might enjoy. There is even a tap system installed. Hopefully, our family will gather here for future holidays and enjoy the many comforts Boulderhaus has to offer. It will be a pleasure to return.
