"The room was clean except the toilet seat had sticky stuff on it. It did wash off fine. It was bare bones but worth the cost. It did have a small microwave, mini frig and newer type TV. It was a bit drafty and in the morning I could see light coming from around the door. But the heater kept the room warm. All in all for the price I paid per night was worth it. I would recommend it to someone just looking for a bed and no frills. "

We commented as we left that he must have watched videos or read the book on how to create a great VRBO. Good stuff:1. He's very quick on communication and answered a bunch of questions;2. Very easy to check in with a code on the front door. Lights were on and there was a garage door opener on the front table, which allowed me to pull the van into the garage and unload. "House was perfect for our needs -- a long parents weekend visit to Colgate. Not exactly Colgate adjacent, but convenient to the airport, Syracuse and right on Lake Oneida and 30 min to Colgate. Just down the road from Verona Beach State Park and it's possible to keep walking to Sylvan Beach -- and with perfect fall weather it was an amazing walk. House was great to cook in and made for a fine remote work location. I only wish we'd made better use of the she shed /man cave b/c it is an awesome...

"This home on Lake DeRuyter was perfect for our extended family vacation. The house was equipped with all our needs. The owner was responsive with questions. The dock was perfect for fishing and swimming was great as weeds were well controlled. The property is dog friendly as well, which made this vacation even better. Will definitely stay again!"
