Its a quiet place not even a lot of visiable staff. Check in is a different process, but worth it. We had a basement room which definitely insulated us from some of the noise. The street outside is fairly busy, however not prohibitably so. The train station is directly across the street with easy access to the boston to rockport line with stops in Salem, which is why we were there. Already planning a return trip and this is a place we are thinking of staying.

This property is very well kept and in excellent condition. The room was clean, but I did have an unannounced four-legged visitor. A little mouse got into my travel bag and chewed up a baggie and remnants of cheese that was in it. I reported this to management who in turn reported it to housekeeping but was not offered any discounts for the mess in my bag that I had to clean up and the sheer freight of having to deal with a mouse who ran away and hid. Although I booked for two nights, I only stayed the one.

Beverly Hotel For the Win
No frills hotel experience. My girlfriend and I needed a place to stay that was close to Salem. The room was clean, check-in was a breeze, and parking was always available. Good experience overall.

Overall good- but not great
Let's start with the good. It was nice but nothing amazing~ we had the king suite which gave us a full kitchen & extra room with the living space. I figured it was older from the photos, but the rooms were updated & comfy. It was more like a nicer motel or old apartment complex than a hotel. The location is incredible & convenient. You could definitely walk to many restaurants, stores, coffee, etc. We love the city of Beverly. Close to all the best spots on the northeast coast of Mass. Any time I had an issue or a question, I just texted the number that gave me my room info & they texted back immediately with answers. I did have an issue getting a hairdryer to our room, but it was eventually resolved. The cleaning ladies were sweet & helpful even though they didn't speak English. We like the convenience of having the laundry room downstairs. Parking was never an issue either. Now, the bad. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything above, below, on the sides, & outside. We stayed a Wed through a Tues, & the weekends were incredibly loud. We were on the first floor & could hear the people above us walking back & forth for hours. So the next morning when our toddler was up at 7:30am walking around & playing in the living room area & the people below us started hitting their ceiling/our floor, I felt their pain. But I shouldn't have to worry about normal levels of noise. Unfortunately, this was a huge issue. But the service is great & overall good place.

Our initial room at check in had a musty, mildew smell, not surprisingly as it was basement level. Clearly it’s an issue as a dehumidifier was on and in the center of the room. Unfortunately, when booking, I didn’t even realize they had this level. We contacted staff (remote check in at another location, there is no front desk) and they were able to transfer us to another room, a double suite, which was more spacious and had a kitchenette. Great customer service despite the unconventional staffing situation.

Wookiee recommend for a short stay. We were in a room downstairs and could hear all the footsteps upstairs all night. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Bathroom was small, there was a decent supply of everything.
