This rental was super clean, cozy and conveniently located close to downtown Salem. Perfect for enjoying Halloween festivities in Salem. We stayed a couple days the week before Halloween. This unit was well stocked with coffee, paper products, a few snacks, kitchen supplies, soaps … and provided everything else we needed. Nice quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed this rental very much.
Our host made it extremely easy to check in and out. They even let us store our luggage after checkout because our flight wasn’t until late evening. Everything was clean and comfortable. The light switches are interesting, but we had fun figuring it out. Not necessarily walking distance to everything, but Ubers were easy enough to get. The host is also very quick to answer questions and super friendly!!
Host was very responsive, nice place, great to visit Salem.

This was a great rental experience. The property owner answered my questions promptly and made sure we had everything we needed prior to check-in. From the ease of check-in & out to the cleanliness & coziness of the property itself, I would highly recommend staying here.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. So much nicer than a hotel room. It was quiet yet close to everything. Just the right size for us. A truly beautiful little place.
This apartment was clean and welcoming, with all the basics needed for a short stay. The location is a nice place to walk around, as well as being a few minutes' drive from all the Salem attractions. The host was very responsive and helpful about local suggestions. I would absolutely stay here again!
Had a great stay. Building was steps away from cove, and less than 20 minutes from Salem center. Highly recommend for visitors that want walking proximity to everything Salem has to offer, but far enough that you can be assured a peaceful night's rest.
My wife and i were on our honeymoon and love the rich culture and history. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet cozy, and conveniently located property. Thanks
Beautiful home at an amazing location but the best part was the attention to detail and care for guests. We had everything we needed and we were well taken care of. After a full day of walking Salem the massage chair was a life saver. We are definitely adding to our favorites for future trips!
This little cottage was the perfect spot for us. Salem is a very walkable city and we like to hike so this location was great for us. It was about a 20 minute walk to downtown and the major attractions with lots of conveniences near by. The cottage was out of the main down town area so nice and quiet and relaxing when we wanted to get out of the touristy parts of town. It was clean with off street parking and thoughtful amenities. we would definitely stay here again.
My car never left the parking lot everything was in reasonable walking distance. The neighbors were polite and friendly and good source of information about the town.
Great place with a big kitchen, if u plan to eat in. The living room is large, but wish a little more practical. No cable, but Netflix and Amazon Prime readily available with profiles. Would stay again, if need be
I was in town for a wedding and this home provided me with everything I needed. The place was immaculate. The kitchen had a Keurig coffeemaker with a selection of pods, creamer and sugar and sugar substitutes. All paper products were stocked with extras in a closet. Although I didn’t cook, all necessary cooking supplies were available. A snack box on the table was a welcome touch and the cold water bottles in the fridge were appreciated. The neighbors were friendly. The area seemed safe and the bed was comfortable. All my needs were met and I would recommend this property. The host was also very responsive to me.
While this is an older apartment with a few expected dings and scuffs, it gave us the room and amenities we needed to serve as a home base as we went sightseeing around the area.
We greatly appreciated the ability to use the laundry facilities! There were several other features/amenities that helped make the stay pleasant: the locked foyer entry, off street parking, toiletries, bottled water in the fridge, coffee and tea available for use, and plenty of linens.
A few additional items would have been helpful, e.g. apartment & area info, pots in the kitchen, throw blanket for the living room, but they didn't deter from our stay. And I imagine if we had truly needed something, the owner would have gladly helped as she was quick to help with a couple of questions while we were there.
It was a very good location for visiting the immediate area and taking a day trip or two.

The property was within walking distance to center of Salem. The owner quickly responded when I reached out about tv issue. We found the house relatively clean, however, the bedroom air conditioner was dirty and the window sill was in need of repair and paint. We didn't turn it on so sleeping was uncomfortable. The master bedroom mattress and pillows were quite comfortable. The kitchen really afforded less than minimum utensils and supplies. The upstairs neighbors were relatively quiet with the exception of one night in which we could hear a fight going on.
The unit itself was great. Very clean and had everything you needed. The only problem was the upstairs neighbors. Its an apartment house so you hear the neighbors upstairs. They have dogs so you heard them barking on and off. Foot steps, water turning on etc. So if you are looking for a super quiet place then this isnt it. If you dont care about that stuff then its perfect. The neighbor was also confrontational to me while i was there and I didnt appreciate that.
The house was very clean. Communication was very good. The location was great. It was about a mile walk to downtown Salem. I enjoyed taking slightly different routes each time we walked downtown. I saw some people complain about the upstairs neighbor. I found her to be very pleasant and nice. The gentleman who lives next door was also very helpful and nice.
The beds were very squeaky when you sat down. The furniture in the living room wasn't very comfortable. You had a very low small loveseat, a recliner that didn't recline, and a massage chair. The massage chair was great for a massage but very uncomfortable to just sit in.
I could only get Amazon Prime Video on the TV. No other channels were available. The owner was aware of the problem but didn't know how to fix it. Needed more dishes. There weren't any drinking glasses. The Keurig coffee pot leaked and didn't work. The dishwasher left a lot of residue on the dishes. Overall, the place just needed updating.
Clean & well decorated. When I originally booked/paid in Nov of 2023, it wasn't disclosed that it was a lower-level apartment & there was shared laundry. It also didn't mention the TWO little dogs that live upstairs that bark....a lot. Some days starting a 7am and just about every time they came down to be let outside. Because of the shared entrance/hallway, they had to go by our door every time and bark.
It did mention a massage chair which was not in the apartment. There was a recliner that didn't recline that had some kind of wire poking up from between the arm and cushion that would poke you if you weren't careful. The ad said it sleeps 3 with a king bed and a twin. The king bed was very comfortable, but the twin was very low to the floor almost like a toddler bed and very uncomfortable. Sleeping on the sofa was more comfortable. The Keurig was almost impossible to get to work and when it did work, the water came out cold. There were no instructions left anywhere for it. There was a sign asking not to use the bathroom towels in the kitchen, but there were no extra paper towel rolls that we could find so when the Keurig leaked, we had to use the bathroom towels to clean it up.
The only way to watch anything on the TV was to sign in to a streaming service with your account or stream from your phone to the TV. If there was another way, there were no instructions left for it. Overall a nice place, just be prepared for the barking. Gentleman next door was super friendly!
