Beacon Hill is the most Historic neighborhood in Massachusetts. Colonial era, Boston brownstones, cobblestone streets, and the gas lanterns, will transport you to the 1800's. Our place is not a modern construction at all, and it does not have a hotel feel at all, it is our home amazingly located among it all. Although the street (Ridgeway Lane) is quiet, the brownstone building is located in an old/historic and elegant neighborhood (Beacon Hill) - our condo is located in a brownstone building dating from the 1800's - street gas lamps, but also old piping; expect some routine/sporadic home noises/sounds every now ant then. Old charming building and home.
Public transportation surrounds us, centrally located among all major public transportation systems, including South Station and North Station. Blue, Green Red and Orange Line are all walking distance from the unit.
Access to a small courtyard. This is a very quiet street and quiet building. Please note that to get to the bedrooms you need to go down the spiral staircase.
This place is non smoking, no pets.
With the kitchen and the living room and a half bathroom on the first floor (entrance level) and the bedrooms located below. Guests with mobility issues will not be able to go up and down the spiral stairs to the bedrooms located downstairs.

I am available if you need me. Happy to recommend places to eat and places that make Boston famous!

Great location in Beacon Hill
Everything was just as described - great location, cozy, well furnished, lots of room for our party of 4. The knocking/tapping noise from the pipes was loud and kept us up at night, so we had to buy ear plugs - but other than that, we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect location in Boston
Love the character of the property and the location cannot be beat. The kitchen had everything we needed for a convenient stay in the city. There are plenty of bars and restaurants surrounding this place. There were 4 of us traveling to Boston for the first time and I don't think we could have picked a better property to book.

Great stay on Beacon Hill
Cute historic property in Beacon Hill. Finding the entrance was a little tricky. It looks like an alley but it’s a street. It’s conveniently located near good, stores and activities and the owners were very attentive to questions. It was a great little get away.

We had the best 3 night stay here. The property manager was prompt and very helpful. This listing is literally smack dab in the middle of everything. We walked the whole trip, not ever needing an Uber or taxi. I highly recommend!

The Best Location!
This VRBO truly is in the best location. Walkability is 100. Right by the Bowdoin blue line metro which gives you access to everywhere, but we mainly walked around Beacon Hill, Downtown, and the North End! There is also a Bounce luggage hold area just half a block away if you get in before check-in time, which is so convenient. Would totally stay again!

Very nice and unique place. Close to the Tip Tap Room for a quick night cap or dinner. Great eateries EVERYWHERE!!!! This was my first Vrbo experience, and my friends joining me were quite satified. Since there is a necessity for organic flushing only, a sitsbath attachment on the toilets would be nice.

The location of this property is excellent. You don’t need a car and you can walk anywhere. We were able to add another night a month out and host was responsive to our messages. The stairs are narrow so you should plan on smaller bags. We loved our visit to Boston.

The place has everything you would ever need and then some. Great location, walkable to many things. The only complaint is that the place is very dark. Hardly any natural light, but if you aren’t planning to spend a lot of time indoors, it’s not an issue

Great location and only 1 or 2 blocks from three different subway stations.
Nice layout inside the house. Spiral staircase is tight but adds a bit of quirky fun to the stay. House is very centrally located and worked great for us to go to the aquarium, Fenway, Ferry rides, Quincy market and was easy for us to get to north station so that we could spend time in Salem and Gloucester. As other reviews mentioned the full bath is in desperate need for updates but that alone wouldn't let me leave anything less than 5 stars.

Great spot, great location, noisy pipes
Great location, clean, and had everything we needed! Check in/out process was super easy. Would stay again! That being said, pipes in the back bedroom were very loud. I’m a heavy sleeper so it was fine but my sister ended up sleeping upstairs on the couch one night. My parents slept in the front bedroom and slept fine, not as noisy in that room.

Great location in Boston
Stayed here for several days with two kids (11, 14) and two adults. Plenty of space and of course an amazing location. Walking distance to our freedom trail tour, historic sites and conveniences like Whole Foods and the train stations. (Adults shouldn't miss the opportunity to visit the Tip Tap room - great selection of beer and gourmet menu!) The spiral stairs leading down to the bedrooms are a bit tricky and might be hard to manage depending on your age and condition. You can not flush toilet paper, so that is something to be aware of. Would stay here again.

Can’t get a nights sleep
It’s not all bad. Nice kitchen. Interesting location. BUT Please take very seriously the mention of the noisy pipes at night. It’s beyond noisy, extremely loud and obnoxious and a bit like water torture. You will not get a good nights sleep. The property is down a very dark alley and the numbers are hard to read, making it hard to find at night. I’d recommend the owners let the beautiful brick wall shine and take down most of the cheap awful rummage sale art that obscures it. Nice restaurant recommendation.

Location Location Location
It's an aged apartment that was way more roomy than we imagined. I had previously read the reviews about trouble getting luggage down the spiral staircase so we just left our luggage upstairs. Plenty of space, large kitchen, and well equipped. Regardless of any drawbacks in regard to the age of the building (i love it's historic charm), the location of this place is unbeatable. We walked everywhere and took the subway (2 blocks away) to anything not reachable by foot. What a bargain with the location of this place!!

Good place to stay but few things need to improve
The place was good for staying, though few things need to improve: 1) The fan in the rest room (upper stair, 1st floor) made too much noise. We can't stay in the rest room more than 10 sec. 2) The A/C remote-controller didn't work, so we die power on/off by manually. Thanks,

The property is old, but charming which is what you'd expect from a building built more than a hundred years ago. However, as I had read in some of the previous reviews, the property is in desperate need of some TLC. Some time and effort needs to be invested to make relatively minor cosmetic repairs.
