"The hotel was so beautiful! The hotel was staff was also very friendly and helpful. We spent time walking, shopping, and checking out the Mediterranean which was outside our back door!"

"First of all, this is an old and very historic hotel. Do not expect all mod-cons! That said, staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough to please. Our room was large and overlooked the Corniche so was noisy until about 2am (as expected!) but compensated for by the view, the proximity to old downtown, amazing cafes and restaurants nearby. Monty’s bar very “old English” with live music after 9pm. Good food and drinks, attentive staff. But it’s smoking - and Egyptian cigarette smoke clings and lingers!"

"The staff were lovely. We were welcomed with a drink and sweet snack while we were waiting to check in. We arrived very early, but they accommodated us by giving us a main floor room - which was lovely, but quite noisy from traffic, until check in time when we were given a fabulous room on the 5th floor. It’s an old hotel with lots of character. The view from our balcony was spectacular. The breakfast and light dinner options were great and the meals in the cafe were very good - service was a little slow - the violinist was exceptional. I would stay here again. "

"The hotel is excellent! The rooms were clean and well equipped, the staff was friendly and super helpful, the breakfast buffet was amazing! Don’t forget to check out the pool. Definitely recommend it!!!"
