A little bit of History:
Turenne 's road is located closed to the Palais Gallien and the allées de Tourny. The impressive Palais Gallien, late 2nd century amphitheatre (130 m long, 110 m wide) is the only Gallo-Roman monument still visible in Bordeaux. Houses were built on part of the site in the 18th century. The allées de Tourny are promenades laid out by the Marquis de Tourny. Buildings on the even-numbered side designed by André Portier (1744-1757).
