Charming log cabin in Spruce World log cabin community
This is a charming log cabin in an historic log cabin development minutes from town, grocery shopping and within walking distance to a lovely park (Barrett). The "great room" has a wonderful fireplace, high ceilings, and comfortable couches and chairs. The large deck facing the water is beautiful, offering a spectacular view of Lewes Cove in Linekin Bay. You can hear loons, watch cormorants fishing and drying their wings on lobster trap platforms, and see bald eagles fly by and roost in nearby trees. The thistle feeder hanging above the deck attracts fearless chickadees, nuthatches, and tufted titmice, a pleasure to enjoy with a morning cup of coffee. The main level has three bedrooms and one full bath. One of the bedrooms has a sink. The fourth bedroom is located underneath the cabin so you have to descend steps to get to it. It has the second bathroom, which has a small heater, which heats the bathroom and provides some heat to this bedroom. The upper level has a thermostat, which controls the heat on this level. In addition to the steps to the lower bedroom there are steps to get down to the cabin, which is made clear from the VRBO photo and description, so if you aren't into stairs, this might not be ideal for you. The linens, bedding, bathroom and kitchen were clean on arrival. I knocked off a star on cleanliness as the place could have used a more meticulous vacuuming. Finally, Erin, could not be more accommodating. She responded immediately to every request.

Classic Maine Camp
We spent 4 nights in Erin's fantastic family cabin that epitomizes classic coastal Maine summer living. The cabin is a rustic 1920's Maine camp that exudes character and generations of love and family. It suited our family and dogs perfectly and the view out onto Lewis Cove was fantastic. It's location was ideal with a short 15 min walk into town and less than a 10 min walk to the Boothbay Lobster Wharf, where we enjoyed as fresh as you can get lobsters, live music, and cold Allagash beer (a must if you are in Maine). Erin was a fantastic host and provided great suggestions. It will be even better once there is a dock to the water (which you can see, but not access currently). We hope to visit again!

What a porch!
The property was just what we were looking for. Big enough to accommodate 2 couples, 2 kids and a dog (with room to spare). The rustic log cabin feel was great and spending time on the porch overlooking the cove/bay was so relaxing. Short walking distances to beaches, restaurants and shops. Hope to be back soon!!

Rustic Maine Cottage
Great place to enjoy with your family. The type of Maine cottage I stayed at years ago but with nice upgrades like a dishwasher and plenty of hot water. It has great water views but unfortunately no pier (I think there was one that was destroyed in the storm.

Great for hanging out and walkable to downtown Boothbay Harbor
A group of 7 friends loved our stay at this historic log cabin. It feels loved by a family, comfortable without being stuffy. We spent almost all our time on the porch with its beautiful view of the cove. The kitchen does everything it needs to for a vacation home, and we served up breakfast and dinner for 7 without any hassle. When you want to get up to something, it's only 5 minutes' walk to the Lobster Wharf, 15 minutes to the rest of downtown Boothbay, and 5 minutes to a public park with amenities and a beach for wading and jumping in the sea. Nights were cool thanks to a bunch of box fans, a good number of windows, and powerful ceiling fans. When it's hot, the porch gets a nice breeze off the ocean. The history of the Sprucewold community and this part of BBH was interesting to learn more about and experience walking around the neighborhood. Overall, we would definitely recommend this space for groups of friends who want to spend some time in and some time out.

Peaceful log cabin with great views
We stayed for 6 nights at this property. We spent a lot of time on the huge back porch overlooking Linekin Bay. We enjoyed the view of the water, the wildlife, and the beautiful spruce trees. The cabin is super charming and had everything's we needed. It’s not far from town, but in a very quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing! Beautiful! Real Maine.
This log cabin is quintessential Maine at its finest. It’s over 100 yrs old, carefully built with logs harvested from local trees. There are just enough modern conveniences to keep most anyone happy yet it maintains a rustic feel. The owner is super responsive, checking with us just enough without invading our privacy. The view is STUNNING as you look out at Linekin Bay from your perch on the porch where there’s plenty of seating for all. It’s an easy walk to the Lobster Wharf on the East Side of the harbor or hoof it over the new footbridge to everything in the middle of town on Pier One. We had a couple rainy days where we were content to sit by a fire in the huge fireplace and play games. We also had some stunningly beautiful days to walk to town and take in some music, seafood, and cocktails. Many thanks to Erin for sharing her wonderful log cabin. We will return!
