"I had not realized on booking that the second bedroom was in the loft and accessible by a wooden loft ladder. Both my sister and I are retired and neither of us could get the ladder down. We decided not to contact Helen as we wouldn't have been able to go up and down the ladder anyway. It is very steep and doesn't have any handrailsThe property itself is an old style cottage with a good size kitchen which had some groceries to start us off. "A beautiful spacious house, nicer than in the photos. Comfy bed and we appreciated the Christmas decorations. Had a nice wakk past the lake and up the hill in to the woods. "

"Good for family (2 adults, 4 kids). Good location, 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. Overall good, would stay again. "

"Exactly what we were looking for. A bit remote but gorgeous surroundings. Rustic chic looking but with modern amenities. Epitome of peaceful and cozy. Hosts even provided a Christmas Tree!"

"I stayed in this cottage for 11 nights with my dog, my Mum came to visit for the weekend too. Kate and Cameron we're very welcoming, and went to extra lengths to make my stay enjoyable. A lovely touch was the welcome tray with tea, coffee and delicious shortbread! Not to mention a nice bottle of prosecco. The surrounding area is beautiful, and felt really remote and peaceful, despite being a short drive from the motorway with access to popular areas, North and South. There were also lots of...

"LOVED IT! We loved everything about our stay at 1 Bellevue Terrace. The location is great, quiet and residential, yet just a ten minute walk to the Royal Mile. The apartment is beautiful, just like a place that a character from a Hallmark movie would live in! And a Christmas tree! What a nice touch! The owners were 100% responsive, before, during, and after our stay. Stay here, you will love it as much as we did!"

"The rooms all have large beautiful windows and we appreciated all the day light. It is a relatively quiet neighborhood with many shops and dining options. The apartment had a well stocked kitchen and there is a food market right next to the building which was so convenient. We were in the apartment for 9 days during the Fringe which was wonderful. "

"What a lovely cottage! It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Beautiful, quiet setting near Stirling. We explored the jail and the castle. Took the train to Edinburgh (not a lot of parking at the station). Drove to the ferry to Isle of Arran (take your car if you can). This cottage is in a great location for touring the Edinburgh/Glasgow area."

"What a beautiful cottage, very impressed spotless & well equipped. Only issue was high back chair that was damaged with no note to say it had been noticed and or reported, we emailed Cottages.com but no reply ! Our dog loved the garden, Coorie by the sea for doggie breakfast. we will certainly return again soon & Thank you"

"Had a lovely stay for my 60th birthday celebrations. Beautiful house which was spotlessly clean. Ample space for the family and very convenient for visiting Blairdrummond, Stirling jail and even the Kelpies. Thank you for lovely welcome hamper. The hot tub was an added bonus. Really enjoyed our 3 night break. "
