Classic Marconi Apartment by Wonderful Italy

Bright apartment with two balconies in the historical centre of Bologna, a few steps away from the Modern Art Museum.

This apartment, bright and cosy, is situated on the first floor of a building with lift. The living room is large with stucco ceiling decorations, furnished with a comfortable double sofa bed and a sofa, a TV and a wooden bookcase, in addition to a balcony overlooking the street below. The kitchen is well-equipped, fitted also with a dishwasher and an oven, and comes with a dining area and a second balcony overlooking the rooftops.
The sleeping area consists of two welcoming bedrooms, both provided with a queen size beds and a wardrobe, while one also features a desk either for studying or remote working.
Finally the bathroom, white and elegant, has a shower and a washing machine.
At guests’ disposal there are also free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and heating.

*Please be informed that the city centre is a limited-traffic zone, therefore we suggest leaving the car in one of the parkings and enjoying the old town on foot.

Its soul is in the medieval old town, one of the biggest in Europe, dotted in taverns, workshops and theatres, characterised by almost 40 kms of porticoes. In the city centre there is Piazza Maggiore, where the charm of medieval buildings is perfectly combined with modernity. Not to be missed are the Fountain of Neptune by Giambologna and the Medieval Towers, “Torre degli Asinelli” and “Torre della Garisenda”, part of a rich cultural heritage preserved in several museums, art galleries and religious buildings.
It is allowed to leave Bologna only after having tried its gastronomic products, among which mortadella, tortellini, ragù alla bolognese while sipping famous DOC wines from the Bologna hills! Rich in exhibitions, fairs and cultural events, Bologna can surprise you in every season.

The train station is 10 minutes walking distance from the apartment while the airport is reachable with a 15-minutes drive.

DO NOT RENT WITH WONDERFUL ITALY - TOTAL SCAM
We arrived at this apt on July 15 to find that the Air Conditioning was broken, had been broken for days and would not be fixed during our stay. It was 38C in Bologna that day and the apr was well over 40C. It was uninhabitable. The greeter told us he knew the AC was broken, but because there is a clause in the rental agreement we had to stay. Told him no thanks and got a hotel. Wonderful Italy initially agreed to a refund then days later changed their mind and offered 20% plus cleaning fee. This place is not a reputable renting company. Once they have your money they don't care about the condition of the property. The place could be on fire or overrun with rats and the rental clause means you are here to stay. Buyer beware. Save your money and get a hotel. VRBO who hosted this listing is also washing their hands off this as Wonderful Italy handles there own refunds. So there is NO VRBO Guarantee. The whole thing has left me infuriated at the lack of customer service and decency. I am appealing the payment to my credit card company for non delivery of service. Do yourself a favor and avoid Wonderful Italy and VRBO.

Great unit and location...poor communication w/manager
This unit is actually more spacious than the listing represents and is in a great location near everything in the center of Bologna. If it weren't for the problems we had getting in touch with the property managers when we needed them, I would have given them 5 stars and recommended it to anyone. Having said that, I would not stay here again until / unless I was convinced the local property managers were always reachable and available. Here is our story...When we got back to the unit on our third night (of 6), the power went out in our unit, but seemed to be on in the rest of the building and surrounding area. Assuming it was a blown fuse or circuit breaker, we searched for the fuse box, but could not find it. I immediately messaged the property manager, both via VRBO and the Wonderful Italy messaging sites because the property manager didn't give us a phone number and said the messaging sites were the best way to reach them. No response. We spent the night without power, took cold showers and left for the day. I messaged both sites again multiple times during the day with no response. Later in the day, I called the main Wonderful Italy number and spoke to a representative. She said there was nothing she could do (because they're in Milan) but that she would reach out to the local folks and get them to help us. When we returned to the unit that night, the power was still out and there were still no responses. Another dark night and more cold showers.

Good location, not so clean
The booking agents were helpful and friendly, and suggested a variety of food offerings that we enjoyed. The apartment is spacious and could be fairly good, however we did not find the space to be clean. Fortunately the 2beds were comfortable, with clean and pressed sheets. The location of the lodging was good for sightseeing.

Great apartment in super location
We could not have been happier. Large bedrooms, great beds, close to grocery stores and train station and just about everything inside the old city walls. We will definitely try to stay here again.

Visite de bologne et de ses alentours (ravennes parme,modene,verone) grâce a la proximité de la gare qui nos a permis de passer une petite semaine sans voiture sans oublier la gastronomie locale

Seht gute Lage und geräumige Wohnung
Die Lage der Wohnung war seht gut, alles ist fußläufig erreichbar! Ein Schlafzimmer liegt jedoch an einere stark befahrenen Straße, daher kann man nicht bei offenen Fenster schlafen. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet! Die Wohnung ist recht teuer, aber dafür zentral. Der Check in hat gut geklappt.

Schöne Unterkunft
Wir waren mit vier Personen im Appartment, was wirklich schön ist. Die Lage ist super - Studentenviertel und Innenstadt in unmittelbarer Umgebung, Supermarkt um die Ecke. Ein Parkhaus muss man mieten, wenn man mit Auto anreist. In der schönen Küche ist nicht alles tipp top, Gerätschaften und Töpfe sind da, sonst nichts. Betten gut, nicht laut. Wir hatten mit der Elektrik große Schwierigkeiten, so dass auch die Klimaanalge über weite Teile ausgefallen ist. wonderfulintaly - die Agentur - hat im Nachhinein kulant auf die Beschwerde und Rückforderung reagiert.
